I acquired this kit in a lot of Ferrari parts but am not sure of the correct model. Is it 400 or 412? Thanks in advance for any comments.

This looks like a 412 toolkit. Certainly not a 400 toolkit.

Thank you. When did Ferrari stop including oil filter wrenches in toolkits?

Its not that. A 400 kit was a brief case inside the rear of the spare and later a half circle pouch that fit inside the front of the spare tire.

Does a 400/412 have a tow hook? Boxers and 328's do.

The tool kit in my 412 did have the tow hook and and the oil wrench, as far as I recall these two were in the big bag with the jack.

There was a port hole (with a cover) for the tow hook in the front bumper on the right side.
The oil filter wrench does not seem to be present after the 412 and/or after the 512BBi. Quite difficult to find this part today.

The oil filter wrench is in the jack bag on the picture. The tow hook could be (or could have been) in that bag too.

Is there a place to use a tow hook on a 412? I don’t recall one.

Ah yes, I guess it was probably in the jack bag but I didn’t take a picture of that.

This is a picture of a 1988 412 I used to own, as far as I know the port for the tow hook is indicated by the yellow arrow.
