another bangled ferrari....
I have to retract from the comments I made after the first leak: maybe I don´t like it, but I have to admit it has some personality, it´s more than a smash up of old stuff. BTW, it´s interesting that Ferrari designers usually forget to let some space for the front plate. Now they do it for the rear plate too.
The rear end screams Chevy outside of the dual exhaust being high. Hints of Corvette and Camaro in that rear end design. Outside of that, it looks very 488/F8 like. So to me a refresh with a hybrid of a car that is just being refreshed.
Yes, although these are CGI. My hope is that the car from yesterday was just a mock up. The CGI car certainly looks more aggressive and has more stance, but that's because the wheels are probably bigger than the real thing will be. The car from yesterday did not look as aggressive and original as the CGI from today
any specs on weight & performance? Is it truly 1850kg? If so 1000hp or not, thats asking a lot of brakes and rubber.
Do anyone know if this car is build on new platform for (frame) or is it the same platform as 458/488? Hope this car has new carbon monocoque frame
Lets be clear this thread currently is just an extension of the other as the car has NOT been officially launched (correct as at 1730 Maranello time) So there's no new information other than the photos 'accidentally' shown at motori.it (?) a little early
my initial thoughts are positive. The comments about it looking like a spaceship is true in my opinion. Very futuristic, and dare I say, good "Japanese design" before they lost their way to crazy LSD boomerang shapes in last
So it's an evolution of the current LaF, J50, 488 design language. Instantly familiar. Not spectacular. Is it really worth so much more than an F8?
Not futuristic, and not a redesign: just modern, actual. This is Manzoni own talent This below was the past. ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think it looks amazing! Very much in the vein of the "spaceship" type of look. Very futuristic, yet, still with a human element. And it's instantly recognizable as a Ferrari, but somehow different (and expensive) enough looking to be its own line. I like the P3 inspired elements, but its not even close to retro. Interior looks like a huge step forward. I love the seats. Overall, I love it! I also have huge admiration for what Mr. Manzoni and his team have achieved. I can't wait to see it in person! This being a Stradale, I wonder if there will a racing "twin" to this car.
Still waiting for the official release pics but if the cgi renderings are true, I guess I'm surprised to see so many elements from other models present here for this new hybrid era. Not sure if it's a bad thing or good thing. See a lot of 458/488/Pista/F8/J50/LaF elements present on the exterior FWIW Also bold name choice!! SF90, maybe now the Scuderia will win a race this year lol
Now THAT'S funny!! ... based on this year's F1 race performance/record, SF90 would seemingly be the absolute last choice of name they should have given it.
I like the front view of the car. The side view is nice (albeit a little LaFerrari'ish which isn't bad). I'm not sure why the rear deck was designed the way it is. It seems a somewhat disconnected as they combined the rear sightlines of a spider while trying to keep the clear engine cover. The intrigue of the coupe' was too see the engine while driving. Apparently that is no longer a "design feature" that Ferrari feels is necessary for the coupe'. Based on this structure, I would guess that there won't be a "Spider" version, but rather a targa/aperta version like LaFerrari. I could be completely wrong.....
