WOW! How much is this expected to bring? I know the gated 599 went for insane $.

I've got nothing but guessing on what this will bring. Given the rarity of manual 612s, I'd say $135-150k, now discount for mileage and interior leather wear, and an allowance for BaT vagaries and I'm guessing $120k. But I don't follow 612s that closely. Perhaps others will have a more calibrated market viewpoint.

It will be interesting to see what premium the manual brings. But for the manual, it is not that attractive of a car. It is an 05 base model with high mileage and 5 prior owners. With an F1 it would likely bring $70 to 80K. But I have seen some insane manual prices. My guess is closer to $200K.

Do you know how many manual 612s came to the US? I keep a register on 456M manuals. Total of 95 over the model run came here. Pricing for really good examples is roughly 2x price for the conventional automatics. ~$60-75k for auto 456M, ~$90k for really good manual 456s, and ~$120-135k for the rare manual 456Ms, Using the 2x multiplier, and agreement with your $70-80k range for average 612s, $160-175k might be a reasonable guess. But your $200k could be it as well (although the car is a bit used as you note).

I know its all about "originality" and all that but if you really wanted a manual one, wouldnt it be cheaper to convert a clean one?

I dont think there is really a “market” price for manuals. There are so few that I think it is really as much as someone who really wants one is willing to pay. Personally it doesnt do anything for me.

For my money, I would far rather have this one:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-612-Scaglietti-/392282123682

A red 2010 OTO with everything and Challenge wheels and 10K miles for $155K. At Marshall Goldman, which everyone knows prices at the high end of the market. I would buy that in a minute except I already have a 07 red one. ;)

People have done it and clearly it is cheaper. But the premium price is for the originality. But then you have to make it a garage queen. Not for me though because I will drive mine til it drops and so there will be no resale value to protect.

Availability of parts for the conversion has become a very real issue.

If someone hadn’t slopped a liberal dose of cockpit shine all over the interior it might look more attractive.

Well time to trade up for the last year of OTO cars. :D

You are spot on about Marshall Goldman's prices. That said they do have some very nice cars and because of that they seem to eventually get their price or near to it. I don't think this car is so badly priced for the last year, lower miles, appears to have HTG2 package (?) and red/diamond interior. Not so many red OTO 612s lots of black cars. If I didn't have my 08 OTO edition I would likely be all over this car as well. However I do prefer my Gregio Ferro/Iroko/Daytona seats over the tan interior w/ diamond pattern.

My guess is $165k. I've seen them around $225k, accounting for miles on this one.

According to the descriptionon BaT, "This 2005 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is one of 199 examples reported to have been equipped with a 6-speed manual transaxle, approximately 60 of which were produced for the US market. "

That is about the same money the red 2010 OTO car was going for which also had less miles and was well equiped. While I like the gated MT compared to the red 2010 OTO the value is just not there IMO. The gen 2 cars have many upgrades which are worth it as well as the red car having the HGT2 package. I am sorry I just don't see the premium just for the MT especially this car which is really a base car and with miles.

Ok that all said who is to say that there is not someone with $165k burning a hole in his pocket. Life is certainly full of choices and I have made a few on previous cars.

A perfect example of reading for content! I missed that in my fast perusal of the BaT listing. Thanks. 612s have about the same rarity of manuals as 456Ms.

Eric- There were more manual 456Ms than autos, 668 to 660, so over 50%. For 612s there were 3025 total so 200 or so 3 pedals (not sure where the 199 number originated) is a much smaller percentage.
