The Mondial 3.2 performed very well for fast laps

Keep in mind the 't' was already out and the 3.2 was 4 years old at this point above, the competition such as Porsche was probably already using the g latest spec cars for their 944.

To get 6th out 37 with a 4-year-old car vs new model spec cars?

I would never be ashamed of that. I would be quite proud of that actually.

Per another post I just made in the for sale section, the Porsche 944 was among the best drivers cars of the period. The Mondial was not set up for racing but the overall balance must have been very good for it to perform near the level of the top performing cars on a track. The era of tactile mechanical steering with direct road feedback is long gone.

I am happy that more and more folks are starting to become educated about the Mondial, it provides a true Ferrari experience at a fraction of the cost.

I understand that many will never appreciate it because of it's stylistic elements, and that is a fair and honest 'personal' and most importantly, subjective critique.

To not like it for other reasons though is usually the result of reading articles full of myth.

Just in case some assume I'm being overly dramatic or exaggerating the plethora of hit pieces out there.

    Exhibit A:

This 'article' was published last month.

Can you spot at least 6 things completely wrong/false?

I mean SIX things, in a ONE paragraph review.

    SIX.

This has lap times of other Mondial models too, you'll see that in terms of actual REAL world performance, very competitive.

Like the rest of you, I love my Mondial. I have yet to hear any "dis" from a fellow Ferrari owner. The few times I have heard anything of the sort, it's from a non-owner. They are easily silenced be reminding them that it is a Ferrari, and they do not own one. Every so often, an extra step is required, I remind them that their, "just as..." is still proof that Ferrari, any Ferrari, is the gold standard. 4 years in, merely the thought of it, pleases me.

Very nice! I would love to do this, but for 10k  I might consider for half the price perhaps. However, I rather drive the Mille Miglia race for this ammount.

They are not telling something new to us since we already know this when we bought one ;) nice read!

On you want bizarre? The same website a few months ago said this about it:

23 Supercars Under $50,000 And Worth Every Penny

"no one can deny that it (Mondial) is very much a supercar that is worth the purchase, especially if you are a true Ferrari fan."

    It ranked #3 behind #2 F355 and #1 308
