I had a 1984 944, and it was an extremely good drivers car. It was underpowered for sure, but not a problem in typical driving. Mine had the leather interior, a Borla exhaust that really made it sound great without much noise, and dealer installed forged Fuchs wheels (which I still have, 4 - 7X16's in mint condition which according to my Canadian owners manual were factory approved dealer options).

I also had the rear accessorized PORSCHE panel on the rear, it looked really good, the new owner might want to find an old one to remount in the holes. (here is the version that was on mine...) Image Unavailable, Please Login

I actually traded it in for my Mondial Cab more than a dozen years ago, which I love, but I still miss the 944 and its really nimble tossable handling. Finding one in the condition noted must be very rare. No crack on the dashboard, hood pads in good shape, this looks like a special time warp car for sure. I am tempted, but didn't keep my original for lack of storage.

This model of Porsche I think was among the best true sports cars designs for Porsche ever, and will someday be recognized for that. It was just not that scarce in period, and used as a daily driver by many so few are left in decent condition, and most the of the later turbos were overly modified or tracked. This one has to be a reasonable bet as a future classic.

    GLWS.

Thanks for your comments moysiuan. Storage has always been a challenge for me. Luckily we have the pro car storage place, just far enough a way from home to get a good warm up. The lifts in my pics reminds me that I have many chassis pictures I didn’t post. So here are a few.
