Forgive me for asking this but why don't you have the sections cnc cut out of plywood if you aren't going to build a traditional trellis out of rod?

I'm curios to know the reasoning behind your current plan of attack.

I easily could, but this wire form will do the same thing except a lot cheaper and lighter. I will also be building the chassis within this buck

Don't know if you are aware but I'd suggest studying Terzo Dallia's wireframes. They are copies of the originals and illustrate how the factory incorporated the frame and flanges, openings, etc.

This is worth a look too:

Greg Jones of Stuart FL built two for me in the 80's--one 3 liter and 1 4 liter. Awesome quality.

As it turns out, I am having a friend of mine that is a carpenter cut all the sections out for a wooden buck for the body.

Has anyone considered getting a GTO engine made with CNC?

If you decide to build more than one please PM, I'd be interested in a body/chassis with no powertrain.

Could be 3387GT restored to its original colour and body configuration? Is there a pic of the rear or any more pics?

Looks like in its original NART/Hill/Gendebien Sebring 1962 2nd OA and class winning configuration. Can just make out the narrow rear spoiler and lights on the doors. Side vents look to have been moved to the right position.

Is it a new body or the Scaglietti body with the later GTO details that 3387GT has had since around 1964 that has been modified with its original 1962 details I wonder?

No grey area inside the perspex of the headlights and no chrome strip around nose opening for the radiator?

It’s been a since I’ve posted about this build on another thread, but I’ve finally gotten the body buck ribs back from being cut out. Soon we will be starting the build. If there is enough interest I may build several for the right clients. This has been a 2 year R&D so we can get the body specs as close as possible. Here are a few examples of the detail for the buck. Enjoy
