If you can't find the springs - buy some velcro, cut a couple pieces really small and apply to both sides somewhere - it will keep it closed and not flopping around for you.

Radio? It's a Ferrari! Who needs a radio? Buy a louder exhaust.

Which year Mondial do you have? I know someone who might still have their vintage Alpine unit. Early 90s I think.

Hi Jerry, what year is your Mondial? My ashtray doesn't have springs (at least I don't think so)

I was looking at mondial ashtrays on eBay and they had springs. That’s when I realized mine didn’t have them. I’m going to remove it tonight and refinish it. So I’ll make sure and see if it has the tabs on the sides for springs.

Took ashtray out and found one spring underneath. The loop on one end was broken so I stretched it a little and bent a new loop. The other spring may be in there somewhere but I couldn’t find it. Waiting for the paint to arrive then will paint the ashtray and put a badge on it.

I don't see why it would not work, as long as it physically fits.

I have an older Sony made for Ferrari (I think out of a 355). You simply need power, ground, and antenna. Since the t coupe has a separate switch to raise and lower the antenna, no need for that function in the radio .

    Regards,
    Jerry

Yea, I'd agree with that if I spent my driving days flying down empty roads in the South of France (like most car ads) Unfortunately my Ferrari spends a lot of its time in traffic jams, following slow moving trucks and tractors, with no overtaking opportunities, and on the M25, "the biggest car park in the UK". That's everyday motoring in England and on these occasions the music of the engine needs a little help from a music station on the radio. Maybe the roads are better in the US. Lucky you!

    Is there anything else?*

*exceptions are very, very old cars (mid 50s and earlier) or some newer hybrid/electric vehicles.

Here and there, I guess. When I was in high school, we had a 64 MG 1100 and a 66 Peugeot 404, both had 12 volt systems. But I do recall the VW Bug still having the 6 volt during the 60s.
