WANTED 550 MARANELLO or 355 MANUAL TRANS NO DEALERS PLEASE
You are defiantly entitled to your opinion and you seem to feel very strongly about that so Im gonna leave it alone lol. Good luck with your search there are a lot of good cars available privately.
It can definitely be nice to buy directly from another owner, but not all dealers/brokers are the same. And a lot of private sellers know their cars so well that they “forget” to mention “that little rattle” that never goes away because they just got used to it. And of course it started after you purchased it. Long story short, I sold a clean 28k mile 355 6-speed w/ fresh belt service for under $50k, and sourced a 1-owner 550 and 1-owner 360 for clients under market. Not all dealers are bad guys!
I will disagree. I have bought numerous “dealer” cars. A lot of the cars nowadays are there on consignment which means people want out. What’s the difference if I buy a dealer car at my number ? If they won’t sell , move on to the next. Eventually you will buy a car at the number you are happy with. I never had a problem making an offer. Not to mention it builds a relationship with that dealer therefore giving you the ability to order new. Also if there is a trade as in my case there was a 12,000 tax credit towards my new car. Just saying, YEMV. Best ,Kirk.
Kirk, you bastadddd. Lol we don't all have money like you. Cigars on you next time I'm in SW Florida. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Robert; I recently sold my 2001 Red 550 and it is available for sale at a dealer I would be glad to give the info to you if you like I have no interest in it but it is a very nice loaded 550... The car is in Florida.....
In Az. You don’t pay sales tax on private party sales. That alone would be enough to go looking for individual owner sales
Get a 550. In my opinion, it is a car double the quality and performance. It is perfect. Just get a more fun exhaust!
