Great idea for the trip and great idea to post this visual diary. Inspiring, also. I have driven my daughter across Europe in a variety of cars since she was 13, she loves road trips. Other daughter doesn't love road trips but loves going fast.

The 328 is such a cool looking car, too. The pictures are so real and make me wish I was doing something like that, through southern Europe right now. Enjoy.

I also remember those brutal Texas weather fronts with winds that swing to the north and spectacular temperature drops. Last time I did a road trip in Texas was the year your 328 was built.

I just realized I haven’t seen your car since its 2 year interior replacement hiatus. You’re a brave soul driving that car that far. I did it once, won’t happen again. ;)

I’ve had a little better luck with mine. Jennie and I did Crescent 10 times and several Houston/San Antonio type events. We’ve actually never been stranded or had to tow. We’ve had the AC go out a handful of trips.

I'm curious, why didn't you take the California? 328 are great but it seems like the California would be a better road trip car.

Don’t have it anymore. Is the Cali more cramped, hotter, less comfortable? Exactly? This isn’t about being comfortable or we would have flown a private jet around. This is about being in a 33 year old car that Mia will inherit someday.

For the 328 250-300 miles a day is good. 3-4 hours allows you to do some things in morning and usually destination about 3. A Cali as furmano said you could push 350-400. want it to be fun, not about the miles you put on.
