I agree. I would also love to see an ad on TV that dramatically highlighted some of their most beautiful designs, kind of a dramatic heritage ad. They did one like that, but it was poorly done.

By the way, here are the Chicago Auto Show Alfa's. The Sauber does not have a halo so I think it is a 2017 car made to look like a 2018 car.

This years 2019 F1 presentation car. I was really hoping they would be more imaginative with the F1 cars racing colors. It seems to be pretty fast during testing at Barcelona.

"At first glance, rumours that a concept version of the new CUV from Alfa Romeo would be unveiled in Geneva take a little more serious form two weeks before the start of the Swiss motor show. Initially, it only looked like a bit of wild speculation from a Greek site. Until today, when FCA came up with a statement via the mouth of Berj Alexanian, working at Alfa Romeo USA. What it is all about is not being said, but it is going to be something important that will usher in a chapter in Alfa's rich history. A clear link with Alfas role in F1.

Could it be the promised 8c. Alfa Romeo has built up a beautiful tradition with that kind of car as a concept. Such a showcar is usually the starting point of a run-up to the production phase that lasts for a year or more . The 8c and 4c we know well at AutoEdizione have been able to keep the DNA of the brand that way in the past years. Investments in a so-called ' Halo car ' often yield more than expensive publicity campaigns. As said before, a CUV seems unlikely to us now. Whatever it is, it will be a relief to see something new from the stable of Alfa Romeo appear again."

The link looks like a squished Stelvio with 2 doors. I guess you can't really fault an automaker for developing an SUV-type vehicle, it's where the money is, but what this rendering has to do with F1, the 4C or an 8C is beyond me. C'est La Vie. Given F1 involvement, they "ought", in my opinion, to do something more sporty. But, it is a Jeep/Dodge man at the helm now so ?

Kind of cool F1 special editions. I like the tires best.

"And very ' flashy ' proud Alfa Romeo Racing editions of the Stelvio Q and the Giulia Q. Thanks to a white underside and red top with cut-out weapon of Milan/Alfa Romeo, as it also stands on the current new bolide in F1 , the link with the brand in this branch of motorsport is again clearer than ever. It is also logical that ALFA Romeo wants to emphasise this extra, because the Swiss-Italian team only carries the DNA of the brand from Portello/Arese, if you think of the Sauber-white here. A titanium final damper from Akrapovič, Pirelli tyres with P-Zero F1 look and Sparco chairs in the interior make it completely complete, on these limited editions of the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio. The latter is by the way Q4 system!"

"For the Giambattista Vico Plant in Pomigliano d'arco, FCA has today, officially announced that soon the investment will enter into force for the production of a compact SUV of Alfa Romeo.
The unions responded very positively, although it was also announced that the production of the Panda will also be further tightened (from 10 to 12 services per week) due to a rising demand for the model. This announcement on the eve of the motor show in Geneva, is also a confirmation that the ' CUV ' of Alfa Romeo is an important model with the most priority at the moment. The assembly line will be ready in the course of 2020 and the staff will then be retrained for this project. Another investment made today by the world was one for a new production complex to be formed in the US, in the state of Michigan. A whopping 4.5 billion dollars to produce the successful brands Jeep and Ram V"

"Alfa Romeo will be at the Geneva Auto Show in full force with our award-winning lineup, and something new up our sleeves as well. We’re excited to show everyone a taste of what’s next in the world of Italian performance and luxury,” company spokesman Berj Alexanian told us via email.

While he stopped short of telling us precisely what the company will unveil, earlier rumors claim we’ll discover Alfa’s second high-riding model during the event. The yet-unnamed crossover will slot directly below the Stelvio, but the two models will allegedly ride on the same platform also found under the Giulia sedan. That means Alfa’s smaller crossover will offer rear- or all-wheel drive depending on how it’s configured.

Power will almost certainly come from a turbocharged, four-cylinder engine. Alfa may not be able to fit its sonorous V6 in an engine bay smaller than the Stelvio’s, and it may not want to as government regulations in many regions make selling cars powered by a large-displacement engine increasingly costly. Alfa’s research and development department is planning a hybrid car offensive, so it’s not unreasonable to assume the upcoming crossover will receive some form of electrification during the course of its life cycle.

The five-year product plan Alfa Romeo published in June 2018 confirmed the arrival of a second crossover, though it didn’t provide a specific time frame. It’s a move that makes perfect sense. Off-roaders aren’t a big part of Alfa’s nearly 110-year heritage, though the company did build a Jeep-like model for the Italian army, but they’re in hot demand all over the world. The upcoming model could become the company’s best-seller, and it will undoubtedly help it reach its goal of selling 400,000 cars annually.

Nothing is official yet, Alfa Romeo hasn’t confirmed the reports of a second crossover, and it could surprise us with something else entirely. Alexanian added Alfa Romeo will reveal its new model on March 5, the opening day of the Geneva show. Stay tuned; Digital Trends will be on-location when the veil comes off."

More photos already posted in another thread. Just keeping this all Alfa NEWS thread up to date. I always thought Alfa's were pretty cars. The latest Alfa Romeo Guilia and Stelvio noses are rather brutal looking. This new concept goes back to the softer more traditional styling Alfa is known for, although as I said it does look slightly dated now. Who cares, it's still pretty if not conventional..

The Italians really brought their A game to Geneva this year because a lot of the designs have been stellar.

I really like the tonale and if alfa are building a competitor to the macan at a time when I'm looking for a family car this might be a problem. lol

The early 70s GTV is still one of the prettiest sport sedans ever created. The proportions and details for something so simple are amazing. The interior is simple, straight forward and to the point. And it has adequate room and storage without being "huge".

Before BMW claimed itself to be "the ultimate driving machine", Alfa already was.

Shot supposedly stolen from the Alfa Romeo Style Center of a possible next Alfa coupé in design. Looks like an Alfa Gran Turismo wich means it's way to big. I hope this is fake.

It is fake. It's not from Centro Stile. It's a student's project from a design school in Milan. https://www.instagram.com/p/BvfcxIsHfLx/ - image #3 in this post by the teacher.

As for the lightly camouflaged Stelvio, it's just a VP (Verifica Processo) unit for the 2020 model year.
