Last night, I had a bowl of leftover soup/stew from a local restaurant. A goat in broth dish - birria di chivo al estilo jalisco......I’ve added diced potatoes to extend it through a couple more meals.

Yum. Lamb braised in Indian curry. The curry is broccoli, turnip, onion, bell pepper, mater. Tikka masala sauce. Added the dried cherries at the end. Much better.
A little more soupy than I wanted. Served over zoodles.

Done right, bbq chicken is awesome.
    That looks great.

Leftover fajitas. Had some cooked steak in the freezer. Onions, peppers - charred in a frying pan. Easy peasy dinner in about 15 min...T

Did happy hour with my boss and coworkers last night at a place called Doughbird. The pizza was killer, had a really buttery crust and the ingredients were top notch, the chicken was also really good - hence the name.

On the pizza tip....Johns of Bleecker was given a 9.3 by the barstool guy (highest rating for a NY slice in his eyes). Stopped by last night as I was downtown. It was good. I don’t consider myself a pizza guru by any means but I needed to see what the benchmark was for NY pizza and was not disappointed. Different in every way than your average slice, from the crust to the sauce to the cheese.

This'll have to hold you over until we see what's in the box. Tortizza!

I’m the definition of a “momo” or a “gavone” in this instance....I didn’t take a pic ‍♂️. I froze half a pie though. To be defrosted in an upcoming emergency. I’ll be sure to take pics. I feel this particular pie will defrost and reheat well. The crust was that good IMO.

IMO the crust is the key to great pizza. A lot of folks get hyped on toppings and sauce. For me, great pizza starts with great crust...T

Picked up some shrimp and scallops. Going to eat them with Kirkland pesto sauce and linguine. I'm doing some end of the month stuff in the US tomorrow. Might do Popeyes there...………….

We have those back-of-a-pickup truck rib eyes around here. Usually they're parked in a gas station or some such. I wonder where they source their meat from? I've never been brave enough to buy from them. I get my cheap steak fix at Kroger, mostly Choice, and Prime from Costco.

I had to pick up dry cleaning. Next door to the dry cleaner is a Japanese restaurant. So had to try it. My goal is to try every Japanese restaurant in my town. There is just over 30 of them. Ordered chopped scallop rolls, they put more scallops in the roll over my usual place. Score one for the new place, rolls excellent. I also had assorted sashimi, more pieces over my usual place. But my usual adds pickled mackerel in theirs. Score for my usual place. My usual place same order is $26 bucks and change. New place was $28 and change. So another score for my usual.
