I'm coming from a data point of view TT, search 2014 FFs and yes, you will see one or two that are under $150K, but the vast majority are over that amount. If you are saying that if someone purchases a 2014+ FF with the right colors and options that they are going to see aggressive depreciation from the $160 to $180K level, then your advice, in my opinion, is not sound (even though you have 8,898 posts).

It depends on the colors and options, thats what im saying. It's quite possible we're saying the same thing.

Hey Mark. 2014 @ $170k so safe to assume you have around 5,000 mikes?

FF is so tempting. Such a large amount of car for the $. Congrats on the ownership of the other rides as well.

Currently on cars.com there are 18 2014-16 FFs priced from $180k - $139k, colors red, black, silver, grey and white with mileage 2.8k – 24k. Those are all asking prices so I would guess that the final sales price w/o tax & lic. would average 10% under asking price. Obviously lower mile, higher optioned and color desirability are a factors as to what the discount from asking price would be. I doubt that any of the cars will sell for full asking price regardless of color, options or mileage. The demand is too thin relative to the supply and cars seem to sit unsold for many months.

Yes there are 7 2016 FFs with asking prices $280k – $185k. But IMO it is doubtful those prices will prevail because of the number of much lower priced vehicles. Even if those cars are perfect examples the price disparity is too great and none of those cars are anything super special to warrant so much difference. There are no real rare examples to my observation and FFs are not a limited production model. The 612s are a much more limited production and they have not held their prices even though the OTO cars are very limited production and were MSRP $350k - $400k vehicles which was comparable to the FF new prices.

Certainly prices on FF are not going up for the past 3 years I have been following the FF. So if the market for the more desirable 2014-16 FFs isn’t quite at $150k it likely will be shortly in the next 6 -8 months. IMO

yellow compass is fine to deal with...his approach is different but what's there to trust? you arent marrying the guy - you are buying a piece of metal.

if the car has a clean carfax and service history why wld you ignore it!?

i like that color combo by the way - id just throw silver wheels on it

Plenty of bad stories about him. I normally side with your take on most things but this guy I would not give him a penny .
I personally would only buy from a dealer because they care a lot more about their reputation. When I bough my TR from Ferrari of Orlando it was a mess they lied on their ppi that the car had cats, fuel gauge wasn’t working guess what? I complained and they fixed everything and paid for everything . You just don’t get that from smaller dealer.
