Wonder what this beautiful 1952 Yearbook is going to fetch. For sale on ebay.it, sale closing in 7 hours. Image Unavailable, Please Login
They have a well stocked shop at Brands Hatch circuit, selling predominantly clothing but they do have a collection of quality models on offer, Amalgam, BBR and the like. I made one cash purchase from them and it was fine - pleasant people and apparently well established. Not many books on display apart from the usual 'pot boilers'. They also sell quality motorsport prints. Sorry my reply is a year late!
Yes they have a lot of cool stuff, unfortunately a lot of their prices are laughable at best. Got a little bit frustrated trying to negotiate on a model with them as they refused to offer a reasonable price. Luckily I ended up getting that 1/43 a few months later for 1/3 the price from another seller.
At the Bonhams auction in Paris, last week, we noticed a drastic fall of intrest for a complete series of beautiful Yearbooks (including Il Terzo Anno & Il Quarto Anno di Corse as well as the Mondiale Marche '72). No sale, because highest bid was a traumatising 13.000 Euro! Image Unavailable, Please Login
This was the 3rd time Bonhams offered this set. It might be better to take it of the market for now and wait for a while. But it shows the value of literature is coming down.
Plus today a lot more people live in smaller homes like apartments/ townhouses and units and just don't have the room for large collections of anything.
