There are only 2 F40LMs that raced. One converted prototype, the Pilot car as a LM and later GTE Evo 1, plus three Ennea F40 GTE. (i do not count the csai gt cars) A total of 6 cars raced BPR, IMSA and/or Le Mans. Compared to a whole bunch of F1 GTR Mclarens that raced, the Ferrari is very cheap! The Macca does not have a factory engine, but a (very nice, tailor made) BMW Motorsport V12. IMHO the McL are a hype. Yes they did a better job racing and winning, but still
