    I believe it’s the last of the 997 GT3RS’s w/ the 4.0 L engine ( 500 HP ) - I think they only made them one year ...

    The culmination of a series of RS models that Porsche engineer Hans Megzer was considered the father of. Some refer to this car as having a 'Megzer' motor.
    Also these cars were typically ordered in white. To find one painted black seems a further rare detail in what is a rare sought after final edition.

    Actually White & Black were the two standard colors; I know one dealer in Atlanta sold 5 black 4.0's

    Last Mezger split-case engine, 4.0 displacement, limited production/numbered and last manual transmission (for a while anyway...)
    Plus it is just a fantastic car, more than the sum of its parts

    Out of 141 cars delivered to the US, I believe 36 were black. The majority are white and there are a handful of PTS cars.

    This is the last 'RS' to have the Mezger engine and a manual gearbox.

    Deal pending.....I will miss this one.
