There is a company in England that is building "new" 240Z cars...there is an article in the new Road and Track
I have contacted them...waiting on more info......but. i am considering getting them to build a car..a retro mod 240Z.....

What about those guys onTV who do all the Nissan stuff. I would call them to hear if they know of a car.

My brother had a '71 with a 5 speed back in the day. Still his favorite car after all these years.

a '72 just sold yesterday on BAT for $40k. My fave color combo, white with deep red interior.

I saw it's twin at the Miselwood Concours D'elegance (endicott college) prob 4 or 5 yrs ago. It was easily the least valuable car at the show and had the largest crowd around it. I can still see my kids giving me the 'why don't you just get one of these?' look.

This one is absurd-man that's clean. Look at the flipping radio.

I dig the green, but just don't think it shows off this level of work. That said, this thing must kill when seen in person

It is clean indeed. I’ll be interested in commentary from the op. If I’m reading his initial post correctly this green car is exactly what he wants.

    Good luck Larry! Nice car.

I remember looking at essentially the same car in 71. However I bought a puke green 510 instead because it was $500 cheaper. :(

Just looked and it's been sitting at $60k for a number of days now. Guess everybody is keeping their guns ready for the end of this one.

Still can't believe a site called 'bring a trailer' is the best place to auction something at this level, but they get the eyeballs/web traffic

Just noticed another blue one on BAT, but the auction is ending in 45 mins! This one is a '70 and it looks solid but it's already at $49k.

I’m thinking about selling my S1 E-Type and picking up a Lotus Elise and a driver 240Z. I miss mine and I think the time is right to get another.

Larry, I forgot to suggest some time ago to contact a user on a zcar forum, user 26th-Z. I think rdefabri will recognize the name as we had all posted on the Z forums around 2003 or so (last time I did at least and I think it was zcar.com). I spoke on the phone with 26th back then about trying to acquire a '69 build Z (3 digit s/n) and he was super friendly and even offered to help find parts or offer his own spares on one I tracked down.

Seems like he posted in this thread on a very early car. I would suggest contacting him to see if a current owner in a circle he knows would want to sell to a nice collection: https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/56826-hls30-00006-at-the-crusher/#comments
