Where are we at nowadays for repairs and/or replacements?

Ricambi is showing $954 for the left (US) and none available for the right (US).

An eBay listing for a new right side light shows about $3500.

I've seen replacement lenses for sale, has anyone actually completed a repair using these?

    Suggestions?

Wow, I just sold a pair a couple weeks ago, apparently way too cheap.

Used, but pretty much perfect. I sold them for $550 for the pair. It was someone who has bought a lot from me so I let them have them for what they thought was fair. The whole reason I got into selling parts was to try to drive down the prices for everyone. I might have had more of an impact in the 348 355 360 areas if 3 back surgeries and a spinal stimulator hadn’t basically stopped me in my tracks. I can’t help much when I can barely make it out of bed.

New front fog lenses are readily available, from superformance in the UK. Cost is about $160 for each lens. Splitting the unit is relatively straight forward and using a suitable sealant to replace them.

I also purchased a set of he original replacement glass lenses after having a stone take out one side. A relatively simple job to do. Just remove the fog light assy, pick out the broken glass and remove all traces of the original sealant. I used a marine adhesive/sealant called "Sikaflex" and applied a uniform bead around the housing with a calking gun and carefully placed the new lens in the housing and allowed it to cure overnight. Reinstall fog light good as new !

$3445 as a starting bid! (typing error?). In 2015, I bought a brand new Right fog lamp (also in a yellow box) for $300 "Buy it now".

Thanks for the steps. Sounds easy enough. I bought a pair of lenses awhile back just in case I needed them.

We talking whole fog assembly bucket and all or just lenses?
If its lenses I bought clear glass lenses for spares from member "Raidillon" in the private adds.
Cost is $120 a set so I bought 2 sets to future proof them.
He still has them I believe.

    Hope this helps.

Its not the fog assemblies that we are the problem...its the black trim pieces. If anyone has trim pieces pls let me know. I could use a set.

The black trim cover is nla,but if you have one, you could approach a company to 3d print them(mirror print the missing one).

With the right fog light assembly being mostly NLA, but occasional new ones popping up for over $3k apiece, I'd say that's a problem. ;)

My guess is you're referring to the black trim piece on the inboard side of the lens (#18 in the parts diagram) which is a totally separate item.

Old thread back to life - I lost my left lens due to rock. Guy in 348 owners on fb selling pair for $160’ish USD ... I just got them. Exact as promised. Any info on the separation of the lens and housing? What did you use to seal it again?

That black trim piece is tricky and a 3D print would be awesome.

I have 2 sets of lenses and I assumed when the time comes it was the same basic process as headlights. Bake it off, bake it off, I have done it with headlights before.

2 random videos below showing basic method.
