^^^^ GMAuthority (oxymoron, that) reported the electrical problem. That has never been confirmed or even backed up by another source. In the mean time, we continue to see mules running around...

I'll bet every member of the Corvette Design Team was glad they didn't have to go to the event. Now the fan bois are talking about COLORS!
To my eyes thats actualy pretty good looking and well proportioned, is this what the actual car will look like? The spy photos look quite different, (the front being heavier, the rear looking massive and different window and side pillar treatment.) Whats the beef people have with the side intakes, thyere less derivative than other aspects of the car and give it a great agression. Like some classic USA cars of old theyre taking jet fighter cues, in this case the F35.
Lest you thought GM forgot about how successful badge engineering was: https://www.topspeed.com/cars/cadillac/2021-cadillac-xlr-successor-ar183681.html Dumb idea IMHO - if you want to bring Caddy back, why base it off Corvette when it's obvious it's a Corvette? Use the FE chassis instead...
Obviously looks too much like a Gallardo, but arguably better looking than most of the mid-engine vette renderings.
The grill opening is too high and the back of the car is too high. I'll bet the car does not have these problems.
Out of the gate - yes, that would have been good for the brand. But since this is clearly a Corvette, badge engineering has no place - at least with GM. They don’t do it well imho.
Imagine for a moment that Chevy were to nail this design. Stick the landing on the design AND start it at $80,000... So much opportunity and yet they won’t be able to get out of their own way. We all know how this movie ends.
We'll see. It ain't over till it's over. We haven't even seen the finished car/design and we're already making sweeping judgements?
I think it’s over. Just using history as a guide. Too many design dogs in their large portfolio to suggest otherwise. The point I am making is that seldom has the opportunity been what it is right now to make such a splash with what amounts to be a halo car. As we all know, because of the extreme economies of scale that GM enjoys, the planets line up perfectly to create the GOAT Everyman Supercar. Take the economies of scale combine it with great engine tech they already have AND then nail the design and price point. It’s setup of to be a Greek tragedy for car guys...
I would say this however the Corvettes have been racing in endurance racing for quite some time doing very well. I feel that’s a large driver of moving the engine.
It's been that way since the first view, some folks live to be negative. The longest running sports car in history....
I saw the show car and I thought it was pretty but too conservative. The final version is just plain blah. Its not ugly. It's just not attractive.
Another sighting. Might want to keep the volume down, the young lady does her best Beavis and Butthead impersonation...
