These are two of the British built replica's made in the late 1990s/early 2000s from original engines so if crashed they could be rebuilt if necessary without harm. The only two original D50s are the cars in the Turin Auto Museo Bisciaretti and the Lancia family collection and one of them is said to be made from spares in the 1960s/70s.

I was wondering. I didn't think any were in private hands.

The 2 D50's (Turin and Lancia family) are they real Lancia's or from Lancia to Ferrari transformed D50's.
How original is the D50 in Marranello Museum.

I understand that Lancia donated a total of 6 D50s to Ferrari plus all the spare parts and trucks. How many D50s have ever been made by Lancia?

Is there a good book been written about the D50s?

There’s one at the Revs Insitute in Florida. I think that the few original parts are the transaxle and the engine.

Lancia built six (the numbers add up to between six and eight) D50, supposedly retained one or two and the other 5 or 6 went to Ferrari for 1956, Ferrari built another two - four in 1957. Eventually ten D50s were floating around..... My understanding is that #0001 is the Lancia collection car, may have been sold in recent years but I have no confirmation, #0004 is the only car Ferrari didn't scrap and instead donated it to the Automobile Museo del Turin
