    Hi everyone!

I was wondering, those of you you also have/had 911's (specially the 991 versions) how do the Porsche cabriolets compare with Ferrari 458 and 488 spider in stiffness?
No one ever commented and I'm curious. Sure the 458 wobbles more than the 488 but how does it compare to the 991?

If you guys say its much stiffer than even the 488 EVEN with a normal aluminium chassis I'm going to be pissed at Ferrari!

    Thank you for the input!

The 991 cab is very similar to the 488 and perhaps a tad more rigid than the 458. But what is very distracting for me, is the degree of rattles and resonances emanating from the Porsche’s cabs interior which incidentally is absent in their Boxster.

I have a 991.1 4s with pdcc and there is a big difference. IMO the 991 has much better comfort and when it wants to go more stiff, I at least felt I had better control over the car in the 991 than the 458. See my post I just wrote. I'm sticking with my 991 for now.

  4. What do you mean by "stiffness"?

The rigidity in the chassis or ride compliance?

If the latter, the 488 is more compliant (ride-wise) than a regular 991.1 or 991.2.

If you are concerned with rigidity, take a look at the McLaren 570S Spider! Trust me, it's an engineering marvel. I have never felt a spider so stiff, EVER!
I'm a coupe guy solely because of chassis stiffness, I'm sensitive to it. However, I test drove the 570S, and I couldn't believe how good the 570S felt, It was JUST AS SOLID as the coupe version. ZERO difference in feel!

I’ve got a 991.2 Turbo S Cab. It has less scuttle shake than a 488 Spider. I wouldn’t be say the difference is huge, just noticeable.

Less than even a 488? Can anyone also confirm this? Oh Ferrari...

My 458 Spider was a flexing mess.
Bought 488 spider and massive improvement. Worth getting vs the coupe.
Had a 650s and it’s super rigid, same for the 57o. Best of the bunch.
Last Porsche I had was 996 so I’ll stop there.

I have a 991.2 C4s Cab and a 458 Spider, no comparison - the Porsche is much stiffer on rougher roads.
