Apologies, I haven't been here as much recently. I'm heading back to San Diego for the criminal trial on the 14th. Almost three years since Amanda was killed. I'm not expecting much in terms of closure, but it has been endless. I was in pretty desperate shape in 2016, and improved noticeably during the first six months. Since then it's been slow going, mostly therapy. Eye surgery got my eyes back to normal in May, but the effects of the injuries to the brain and spinal cord are persistent, and I still need a motorized wheelchair to cover any real distance. My left hand/arm are still next to useless, so I need assistance frequently. No driving, although I have a temporary/learner's permit here in Ohio. No cars, though - garage is empty. I miss the Ferrari community and my cars, but if I ever drive again it'll probably be in some automatic appliance car. Thanks all for the posts here. The site looks awesome - just trying not to torture myself with the mental car shopping.
Please stop by more often, many of us seek your knowledgeable input and experience with these cars! And you are correct, it won't be much in the way of closure. Hang in there. Lester
Would love to hear that you have another black Award winning 328 in the garage next year. Can always get one of your good friends to take you for a spin. Ferrari ownership doesn’t make a lot of sense so why should this be any different? Lol Whatever brightens your mood. wishing you the very best in the coming year Jon, keep moving forward!
jon I read this about you a few years back , i feel hart broken about what has happened. But man this community is something else, you are not forgotten, and the chatters who know you well, miss you much. # bullfighter
Thanks so much for checking in, our brother..... We care about you, we care about Amanda and the boys, we care what happens. Life is very very fragile..... Glad you are here with us. Alan

Good to hear from you Jon! Please bump this thread more often! (mods could lock you out of the 'for sale' section if needed......)
We miss you Bullfighter. Don't be such a stranger! Take care and know that we are all pulling for you.
Hope '19 is a great year for you Jon. Unfortunately we never really got to get to know each other as I joined in late 2015, but as a regular and fanatical 328 GTS contributor I have the feeling we would have got on like a house on fire. The good news is it's still not too late. I eagerly await your next posting. Cheers, Mark
Hi Jon, A happy new year and best wishes from a french black 328 GTS owner... My friend Alberto finds Ferrari in Maranello , which is rather normal, but the day I took that pic #80515 and myself did found a Cavallino on the wall of a house really deep in the middle of nowhere....(sorry if it's a repost) Rgds Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sending you best wishes for 2019 Jon - Keep fighting on, and know that your Ferrarichat family are always thinking of you, and are there for you if you need us! You take care buddy!
I travel race with 3 guys all around the US. Once we has the pleasure to meet this really nice guy who is paralyzed below the waist. He is an ex-engineer. We met him and got to know him because his racecar broke and one of us race the exact same kind of pretty sophisticated car. So our crew helped him get racing. He designed his own hand controls for his racecar and he was just as competitive as anyone else and he set up body part removal so he could get right in there and wrench on his car while still in his narrow wheel chair. If you physically can drive one day the car can be retrofitted for a combo of hand and foot controls. Alex Zanardi has been in hand control racecars but he is a rockstar with big money. But the technology is there well within the price range of regular guys like me. Hope one day car shopping becomes a reality for you. All the best for 2019.
