Hi. It looks like I need to replace the battery on my 07 430. Is there anything I should look out for or is different from a ‘normal’ car? Does a YouTube vid exist of someone carrying out this job?
    Thanks for any help

Hi Tony. A million threads on this topic. Search feature is your friend. Nothing special required battery wise for your car. I use Interstate. You can change it yourself.

Easy to do from what I’ve seen and the vid above. Ive read lots of people use the interstate battery. Interstate MT7-48/H6 from what I’ve researched is the best and is a AGM. Priced around $250

I don't think I would install the Bosch flooded lead-acid battery used in that video. In cars where the battery is inside the passenger compartment, AGM batteries are a better choice. There is no possibility of an acid spill with an AGM.

For the same amount of money as the wet-cell Bosch, you can get something like a DieHard Gold AGM dry-cell.

I used the Interstate MT7-34R in my F430 and it's been running like a champ for several months. I drive the car 3-4 times per week, so no trickle charger for me.

I’ve also been told the mt7-34r is another battery. Mixed reviews about if the 48/h6 will fit ok in the F430 as the 34r is slightly smaller. Might be the 34r to go with as it also has a higher CCA and cranking amps

Hey guys any updates on preferred 430 batteries or is the Interstate MT7-48/H6 still the preferred choice. The trickle from my scud was unplugged and not sure I want to risk a jump. Thinking of either using a bench charge to see if I can charge the battery or just getting a new one.
