1972 Detomaso Pantera serial number 3995 with 28,200 original miles. This "Pro-Touring" built Pantera experienced a complete overhaul by world renowned Hall Pantera in the early 1990's. Nearly $40,000 US was invested at the time ($78,000 in 2018 dollars) to take the stock Pantera to pro-touring supercar looks and performance. The car was stripped to bare metal, the GTS wide-body fender flares and rear 'Delta' wing were installed, and the car was repainted. The floor pans below the drivers and passenger seats were lowered to allow for more headroom. The interior was replaced with a grey leather Detomaso GTS dashboard and door panels, leather Recaro seats, and four-point racing harnesses with quick release buckles. The large GTS fender and rocker flares accommodate 15"x10" front and 15"x14" rear solid magnesium Campagnolo wheels giving this Pantera a modern supercar aggressive look.

This "Pro Touring" Pantera is powered by a modern day Ford Performance 'Boss' 427 Crate motor and electronic fuel injection. Built by MDM Machine Shop in Calgary Alberta, this 351W based 427 ci Ford 'Z' series small block has been heavy weight balanced and blue printed (Exact build parts and details provided in following section). This smooth running high horsepower engine produces approximately 675HP and is fed by a custom built 8-stack Electronic Fuel Injection system controlled by a FAST EFI 2.0 self learning ECU. Power is put to the ground through a fully polished ZF 5 speed Transaxle, Hall Pantera half shafts, and giant 345/35 15 Pirelli tires. This Pantera is build to roll with modern day Supercars. It starts easily, idles smoothly at 900 rpm, has tremendous acceleration, and can cruise comfortable all day at 70mph and 3000 rpm. The brakes have been dramatically upgraded with Wilwood four-piston calipers and two piece vented rotors. The suspension consists of Hall Pantera coil overs, Hall Pantera A-arms, sphereball A-Arm mounts, Hall Pantera hollow sway bars, and billet sway bar center mounts.

Sale includes the factory Ford 351W Engine that has not been rebuilt and was running when removed. Also includes the original factory Space Saver spare tire, fiberglass rear trunk tray (carpet lined with vinyl zip closure), and a custom made Coverking indoor car cover.

This spectacular car is located in Calgary, Alberta and can easily be transported around the world. I have experience in transport.

nice but why were not the bumpers switched to Euro styles and the exhaust pipe/rear valance to euro look? for that kind of resto money it would have been a right move.
