Hoovie's 355 Exploded?

    The 348 is closer to an F40 engine than the 355. All of them come from the "Dino" line of V8s (used from the 308 through the 360), but the 355 and 360 had a radically redesigned cylinder head with 5 valves per cylinder. The 348 is actually pretty damn close to an F40 engine when you compare the engineering drawings. Obviously the intake manifold is different as well as other parts, but the basic architecture is 85% the same if you ignore the turbos. I reckon that if you drop the compression on a 348 engine, add boost, and do the exhaust in a similar fashion the power curve and sound of the engine would be quite similar to an F40...
