Except he didn’t. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/enzo-ferrari-on-the-jaguar-e-type.585369/ Matt
Beautiful looking car. Man, if my E-type looked like that, I'd never be able to sell it. I also have a '66 coupe.
Thank you all for the gracious comments. At the request of a few interested buyers, I have compiled: a) a PDF document of high resolution scans of all restoration and service receipts under my ownership (well over $110k) b) a PDF document of all minor disclosures that I would want shared with me, along with photos & commentary c) 4K high resolution videos of start-up & driving If anyone is interested and is a serious buyer, please let me know and I will share. My contact info is: rio [at ] riozilla [dot] com
According to Malcolm Sayer, who designed the eType - Enzo did say it. If the designer of the car felt comfortable enough to include it in his book, there must be some truth to it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That’s not Malcolm Sayer’s book. It’s attributed to him. That’s a huge difference. I’ll bet any amount that you can’t get an original quote from Enzo on the design of the E-Type. Matt
Well it is a book that I purchased from his son about Malcolm Sayer so I don’t know what else it is. Not worth arguing about the quote .. maybe Enzo said it, maybe not. Either way, it’s all good. On a positive note, I have a deposit now on my car so it may be sold by tomorrow.
I recently bought a 35 year old book that claimed to have the original quotation. It didn’t. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/enzo-ferrari-on-the-jaguar-e-type.585369/ But that in no way takes away from the beauty of the E-Type, and of your gorgeous example. Congratulations with your sale! It’s beautiful! Matt
