Works great until the point where "crab claws" grab the roller pins in windshield frame.
As above, sounds like the seals in the cylinders are worn with resultant imperfect motion and issues. I'll bet the other cylinders also have issues, you reach a point when all need to be rebuilt/or refurb cylinders installed.
Thanks. Already have an appointment next spring for service. The top has done this only a few times all summer. Oh well, cost of ownership.
It happened to me once. I found out that the hydraulic fluid was never changed even though it looks clean. I flushed and re-bled the system and it worked fine ever since. A two hours job.
Thank you. I had all the fluids flushed in May, but I'm confident they didn't do the hyd fluid that operates the top. Getting ready to put the car "up" for the winter, so will attack it next spring.
