Sadly my new to me F430 spyder displayed a service notice fr the first start up ! After it was unloaded fr the truck yesterday. I have no idea if it is serious or not tomorrow, I will attempt to test it w/ an OBD II code reader if that will work? so I may be back here asking for further advice! thx Neil

Yes and no. You can read all standard OBD codes (some will have F specific), but you will need an SDx/Leo,etc. to read several systems. Plus, if the car has 2 ECU's like the 360 (I assume the 430 is similar), many readers will only read one. The Foxwell NT510 is a good beginner's reader for our cars.

I had good luck with a $26 BAFX WiFi scanner and the OBD fusion app as well as the EOBD Facile app. Reads both ECU’s, you can switch from one to the other in the app.

well not into upsetting anyone ! my sons tell me most are not too concerned w/ spelling on the net, social media! my favorite car name story is that apparently, Porsche intended to name their mid-engine sports car a " caiman " ( the alligator-like creature ) not after the cayman islands! but someone screwed up ! LOL ps photo a jaguar attacking a caiman !

Let me slightly correct the information.

On a 360 with 2 ECUs, the single OBD 2 port under the dash will read all the engine codes from both ECUs. It will however read actual performance data (O2 sensor voltage and other engine management parameters) from only one ECU. The one it is connected to.

Being able to read all the OBD2 codes from both ECU would be a requirement for the car to pass smog. Your average smog tester has only 1 plug.
