Okay, we have Luther Gillis back. Expect to meet Robin soon as well. Still need an Agatha Chumley equivalent and an Icepick. Who else?
1 hr and people watched it because it was fun and entertaining and Tom S made it that way. I don't recall anyone watching it because there was a Ferrari in it. The car just played into making the character as did the location. Exotic location, exotic car.....
Well, me But I was 12 when it started in Dec 80, but it wasn't long before it grew on me beyond that red car
That's what I thought.....what is crazy is when I recorded the first episode it was only 1/2 an hour. I watched right up until the end of the funeral. I'm assuming there was another 1/2 an hour I missed lol I had to double check the 2nd episode that I have recorded (haven't watched yet) is an hour. As far as reviews go...I'm in agreement with most everyone else. Its just like any other "good guy catching bad guy" show. I'll see how it goes for awhile, at very least, just for the F cars.
I guess they kind of morphed Mac and Maggie’s character into one resin being the m.e. Magnum brought the donuts to in the first episode.
Doc, Great historical pic. 488 are Stunning from 5 feet, but 308 looks much more FERRARI than 488 on tv mon night 308 very classic I recently saw 365GTB/4 at MooreSpeed Austin Texas, and NO way would I trade qv euro I would definitely race for pink slips Thomas should cover his ass and spend 10mins an episode looking for "Robins Favorite" 308 replacement. there are so many junkie giant fiat that when those guys wake up, 308 will all be gone in no time.
J.Digger Doyle buddy! Knew you would like that suggestion. One other observation I have is that I feel they are not doing the Rick charector properly. They said that he was a goofball but I never saw the original charector that way. He was often funny in the sense that he was melodramatic at times but he never acted out like the current charector is generally the original charector was funny without trying to be.
I don't care for the new Rick. He seems like slob that just rolled out of bed. Do you remember the Rick character in the Pilot? He thought he was Humphrey Bogart. Thank god they cleared that up by the next week.
I like the Ferrari's on the show ! for me it's still about the cars, will not compare to much to the original...
Absolutely he set up the meet between magnum and “the snow Queen” I remember magnum calling him on the phone and as he hung up the phone magnum said the famous bogart quote something about out of all the joints in the world u had to choose mine.
Couple of observations from the 2nd episode. First, it was MUCH better than the pilot. I also like that they are at least keeping with the 308 family using the 488. It was entertaining and I will probably watch it while flying somewhere. Probably wont go out of the way to watch it on Mondays. I wish they had a place for the 308 and I wish they would play the entire theme song. Oh well.
I remember hearing back in the day from one of the producers of the original show that they got 3 308's each season, and they were free to sell or otherwise dispose of them at the end of the season. To this day, there are a surprising number of red 308's driving around Oahu. Would not be surprised if at least one from the pilot was an original series car.
Me too. The only reason I wanted to watch was because of that red Ferrari. Basically the same for Miami Vice.
Episode 3 the best yet although not as much Ferrari, at least they didn't destroy one! I think the characters have settled down and the plot more "acceptable". I told Jennie last night I'm leaving her for Higgins. I just have to tell Higgins now.
I really can’t take the Rick charector nothing against the actor playing him but just how they portray him the whole T.C. minoring in art last night was way overdone don’t get it. However I will always watch to see Higgins!
Episode 4 was really good, I'm a fan now, especially since no Ferraris have been destroyed in awhile.
