Hello gents. This is my first post as I am a new member of the forum. I am in the market currently for my first Ferrari and I really would like to get into an F12. I was wondering where does everyone see the pricing bottoming out on this car? Not that I am waiting to try and time the market as I will be buying in the next month or two but I’m just curious where does everyone see the pricing bottoming out at?

Predictions are hard, especially about the future :D

Take a look at 599 and perhaps 575 to gain some idea of where the v12 GT's usually go over time.

Try not to look at 612 or FF depreciation:eek:

Anyways, its a car and only an investment in "fun" vs. dollars. Going down...for a pretty long while still.

Thanks for the insight. I’ve noticed some nicely spec’d F12 hitting the low $200’s now. I’m wondering if these prices will dip under $200k within the next 6 months.

As a generalization the decline continue for a number of years, then the prices get flat of several years and they start to come back after about 10 years.

Welcome to FChat! Spec, condition and mileage drive demand and value in the US. Those high in the proper areas will not see the price point you want in the period you state. A nice 458 would start with a "1". With the factory announcement of much higher pricing for all new Ferrari's and the recent mega pricing on Pista perhaps there is a lengthening of the cycle. Buying a Ferrari has no financial logic so when to buy and the specific one to buy has more to do with the impact on your happiness than the impact on your wallet.

Hi. welcome to the forum! 6 months ago, I finally bought my first Ferrari (I already have a 2012 Maserati GranTurismo, bought new). I have been shopping for a used F12 for about 2 years after I couldn't get a allocation for a new one, back then, from the Ferrari dealer in Orlando. Anyways, I just finally bought a 2013 F12 with 14K miles for $230K that had a MSRP of $395K. That's 40% off sticker, to save you the calculation. You can check my recent posts for pictures. It's the launch color exterior (Rosso Berlinetta), with sabbia interior). Maybe I didn't get a super great deal, but I am very happy with the car and the price I paid , and that's what counts. I'm 62 years old, my wife died last year after 29 years of marriage (she was only 56) and we have 4 beautiful kids, and life is short.

Very well said. Carpe diem. Congratulations on the F12. I think you got a great deal, and you have 4 beautiful kids to share it with. That is priceless.

    Life is short.
Surprised about allocation from ferrariCF. Seems less competitive here. I’m in the market as well. Looking for Grigio or Nero.

Where are you located? I’m in Winter Park. Many upcoming FCA events in central Florida.

Drive it well and pictures or it didn’t happen.

Thank you so much. It sounds like you got a great deal and I hope you are enjoying that F12. You are right, life is short and I’m sorry for the loss of your wife.. but I’m sure you will have many years of happy times with your children and I’m sure grandchildren.... and of course your F12!

    Welcome aboard.
Predicting where markets bottom out is time consuming and boring, maybe in Europe 150 K Euro in a year or two but maybe not, maybe there will be another credit crunch, maybe not.

Glad you didn’t wait, enjoy :)

+1. Plus if you randomly run into a spec that is perfect, just jump on it.

As a rule of thumb, modern V12s tend to depreciate to about 35% to 40% of MSRP over a ten-year period of time. Specific variables such as mileage and no longer having warranty coverage will have a big impact. But depreciation doesn’t matter if you don’t sell. YMMV.

I'd be interested in that data. I'm shopping for an F12 right now as well. I don't believe I have the ability to PM, but if you PM me with your email address I can message you that way.
