It was a design concept shell of a car never meant to be driven. Now it does run and drive. What do you want, a Nurburgring time?

I am betting a 512s does not have a great turning circle either

That's a bet you'd lose if Glen Smale, author of Haynes Ferrari 512 S & M Workshop Manual, is to be believed, wherein it's stated that the 512S had to conform to regulations that allowed a maximum turning circle radius of 6.75M.

Anything over 12m turning circle is poor, I dont understand your point the car works, turns and can be used on the road end of.

That the front wheels touch the bodywork is a major safety problem. Modulo also has limited cooling efficiency. It is not in a state or form to be driven on the road.

It doesn't need to drive on the road. It only needs to drive on the lawn at Pebble Beach. It runs and drives, good enough. The car belongs in a museum to be admired, not driving into town to get a gallon of milk. You just have a bug up your ass about anything Jim Glickenhaus does, so why don't you just go troll some other thread.

JG's intentions are more ambitious than driving it on the lawn at PB and fully intends to drive Modulo on the road. He has the car road registered. Also intends to enter it in the Collorado Grand. He claims the car steers fine and can do a 3 point turn. Front wheels hitting bodywork is not steering fine and it's clear from the video below it can't do a 3 point turn, even without the bodywork that covers the wheels.

But according to you a 512s has a great turning circle of 13.5m make your mind up, any 70s sports car has about the same dire turning circle so are we going to ban Boxers and Countachs on the road too?

Image Unavailable, Please Login Cooling looks fine via moving panels, steering looks fine, even if there is a rub would be easy to fix with a raise in front ride height and smaller od front tyres.

The problem isn't that it can't do a 3 point turn. It's that Glickenhaus claims that it can, along with saying the front wheels don't touch the bodywork, but they actually do.

Really so what is wrong with the cooling system as we are dealing in facts?

Modulo is indeed a stunning design penned by a skilful genius with an expansive imagination.

The facts are that Paolo Martin, Modulo's designer, who I have been in contact with, has said that with the solution in place, which I had asked him about, that there is only sufficient air around the radiators for cooling up to no more than 140 km/h, which is about 87 mp/h. He said it was not possible to make Modulo workable as a road car, it being a graphic proposal to showcase internal and external modular design, and has no practical utility. He said that Modulo's profile is not suitable for speed and if he had thought of a road car he would have offered other solutions.

I have also been in touch with Ing. Forghieri regarding Modulo, who said that it was not in a form to be used on the road mainly due to its limited cooling efficiency.

I witnessed the cooling solution. It’s absolutely brilliant and seamless.
