Hi Guys, Forgot the Hoovie's baloney and check out this excellent review by James Martin: Here is his YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkwBmrgwtoaaXZSilir6qsg James paid us a visit a few weeks ago dropping parts off for this car. It was great to meet him - super cool guy. We are finishing the parts for this car now. Enjoy a good review
Excellent. I watched his video from 2 years ago. He has definitely improved his craft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
One of the guys in our local chapter has one of the 360 Modenas with the sunroof. I remember him telling me it was crazy rare.
When he says (in the video) that there were only 16 made, did he mean the green, or 360s with the sunroof in all colors?!?! Crazy if there were only 16 total globally in all colors and 2 of them are owned by people you and I know!
Almost bought one before my 355. I think CNC had it for sale. Silver with Tan F1 Sunroof that was back in Feb of 2017? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
***************** has one here in atlanta. https://www.*******************/2003-ferrari-360-modena-c-481.htm sjd
I like the part where he said you shouldn't by a 355 as a performance car, and when he says, by a happy coincidence it's a nice car to drive. Just last weekend the wife and I were out for a drive and I commented what a nice car the 355 was to drive, just touring around the countryside. I used to dislike the over assisted power steering, but now I think it's just perfect for an old man with skinny arms.
According to this page on FLife (https://www.***********.com/forums/modern-v8s-360-f430/9318-360-modena-factory-sunroof-2.html), there were 25 global, with 12 being in the US. But who knows, that could just be conjecture by those guys as well.
Great find Dave. And his commentary on Sticky_Rx and it’s proprietor is spot on_ thank you for all you do! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Good review, and refreshing to see a lack of the sensationalized click bait nonsense. That's one hell of a shirt, though.
Pretty good! I did dislike the part where he said something to the effect of a golf would outrun it in corners but later said the 355 is on ancient tires. Someone mentioned that in the comments and he said "has nothing to do with it". Ahhh, right.
Nicely narrated. One nit - the Mondial t, 1998-1993, had power steering before the 355. I had one of them too. And without doing any research I believe some earlier V12s had power steering too.
Thanks all for your kind comments about the video, nice to see I did the car justice in the eyes of owners. With regards to my comments on the Golf vs 355, on UK roads I believe that statement to be absolutely true. A 355 is a beautiful thing but I prefer to drive it with some mechanical sympathy. A Golf R or even GTI with the DSG box is a complete weapon on tight twisty back roads. I don't consider this any slight against the Ferrari. I've never driven a Golf that excites me from before I turn the key.
Having grown up around VWs and GTIs my whole life, and having driven and owned almost all of them, I can positively say they do not compare to the 355 in any respect in any corners. I've pushed the GTIs to their max around all sorts of roads and bends and there is simply no comparison to the 355s handling ability when driven properly. Yes, the GTIs are an absolute blast to rip around town in and wrap around tight bends but not nearly as much as my 355. I know the gentlemen wasn't intending it as an insult but comparing the two is insulting despite the age difference and doing so, if he has not pushed both cars to their respective limits, is simply unfair and inaccurate. I enjoyed the video but he is not an owner to be fair and this leads me to believe he has not pushed the 355 in the corners hard enough which is understandable. I wouldn't throw someone else's car around bends either especially not their Ferrari. I am on the market for another GTI for the Mrs, when I told her she'd be getting 355 handling or better she laughed...as I did when I heard that comment in the video. Good vid none the less and love the shirt.
All that shaky crap? I know you are biased because of a business relationship, but that was so hard to watch that I never finished it. Everybody bashes on you tube kids doing exotic car stuff, but they have the driving scenes done right.
