The first Grand Basel event is taking place this week in Basel, Switzerland.

Curious to know what sort of buzz is being made in Europe.

    You can see a 250 SWB, a 250 MM, a 275 GTB/C, a nude bodyshell of a 275 GTB, a 312 P Berlinetta and a 512 BB LM. Plus a darkblue 250 GTE 2+2.
Unfortunately the organiser also chose a poor 250 GTO REPLICA for display.
    What a shame.

Unfortunately there is also darkblue CUT 275 GTB/4 Spider CONVERSION on display.
The organisers, Mark Backe and team, really need to improve their selections.
    Another shame.

Was there today (Friday afternoon) Will show a few pictures over the weekend. Though my personal favourite car wasn't a Ferrari, but a Formula 1 BRM P83 from 1966/67 with its spectacular H16 engine. But the 312P Berlinetta came close second.

    Best from Germany

    Here's the "GTO Replica"...…..using S/N 6291...……..formerly a 330 GT 2+2.
Following massive protests the replica was removed and replaced with a real Ferrari.
