Hi everyone. This bike is my "extra" ST3, I purchased it to keep riding while my other black ST3 was rebuilt, from a mishap. This bike has 14K miles, adult owner, (I am the second, or third), and has never been crashed, to my knowledge. It runs well, the only downside is the upcoming belt service at 15K (about $1,200, done at a Ducati dealer). So, Texas title and tag, no liens, paid cash. Make an offer! Asking $5,250, what I have in it, but had it sold after Austin MotoGP at $4500. The guy backed out. Had some crazy low ball offers, and today I might even take one of those! Its a nice machine, but turns out, Ducatis are hard to sell, as the "Ferrari of motorcycles"! It comes with hard bags, color matched, I have them boxed and are included in the sale. I will find an "as delivered" picture with those installed. Thanks for looking. Alan 832 801-0670 Image Unavailable, Please Login
...and a date, with these ladies at Ducati Island! ALL included, when you roll with me...LOL! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I love Ducati Island.....seriously any of you that want to see COTA, during the MotoGP, please get in touch. It's a wonderful time to see the track, as well as Austin at its best!! Thanks for looking!
pretty bike. that's a ton of bike for $5k. I almost bought a similar ST3, it was navy blue (which as it turns out was incredibly rare), bought a Monster instead. oh well.
Yes, I paid $9500 for the black example, but it was basically "new" showing 72 miles on the odometer! It was more heavily optioned (ABS) so the MSRP on it was about $18,500. I do not have the sticker for this red one, MSRP probably around $15K. But like a lot of things, the depreciation ticks on, as the time goes by. I am totally negotiable as it will need the Service soon! It's only when parked among new ones, that the styling of this bike stands out. It's very similar to my 996 of course, but larger! Tank capacity and seat cushion make it taller... So, shake the Piggy Bank out and give me a call! I am open to any reasonable offer, as it's time to finish the black one, and paint the Caddy at the same time!! Blue was a rare selection! Black, red, yellow, the more common colors. It still only shows about 800 miles....poor thing! It's back together, in yellow, silver, and other colors!!! Thank goodness for eBay!! You see the hard bag brackets remain, on this one, but removed on the red example. I must say it improves the look, and I doubt the bags will ever go back on mine..
..since we are here....by 2012 the styling was moving on, to "harder edges"...but I liked the snazzy tri-color!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
...but people stop dead in their tracks to look at them....mainly old men! This one has 1,400 miles since new. Okay, I am off to polish it up, somebody give me a call!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Price reduced, how about $4,200, or OBO.... If interested (as I said in a few PMs) throw me an offer. I need to get some other things done around here! Lots of nice bikes showing up in our ads, glad to see that! Thanks for looking.
..and if an ST4 had come my way, the top engine is worth a few more horsepower. My black one was found in a South Houston warehouse, showing 72 miles and still an open MSO and the second one was just "at the right place, right time". My mechanic did take the ST3 home for lunch one day though and said "That is such a sweet motor, and easier to service!" I guess he was counting the labor and shims. I had some interest at the Rice/UoH game, nothing like a bike to fit you into a CLOSED Parking Lot! I told them $4K (down from the 5250), because I do want the new owner to go in for Belt/Valve service, it's going to roll 15,000 on the next trip to the store!! But this one and the other have been stone reliable bikes...maybe a battery now and then.. Put it in your garage....bring 3500...... Call Tuesday.. Happy Labor Day, thinks for looking....
Colorado has reported in, that there is NOT plenty of Summer riding left! But it's still hot as *&(^&*^)(*& here, inTexas!! Rains are cooling it down to bearable!
Hey Tex? My $.02, post lots of pics of the bike FOR SALE, not other bikes..... The best pictures in this thread are not the bike you’re selling. I think.
Good point, let me take some fresh ones today!! I did meet a very nice guy at Rice/UoH game I hope he can get something going under the deal.. Thanks! I shredded the title to the 996, its going nowhere! LOL! Maybe add some more Ducati girls...
I delivered it to Austin once! It's about 3 hours, as you know....per suggestion I am loading some more pictures!! Yes, I live at the NW corner of the Loop 610, next to the Boy Scouts HQ! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That last shot shows some tasty mods by the previous owner, the milled anodized brake and clutch fluid covers, some beefier bar risers, heavier than stock units. Note also I put the zero miles OEM exhaust units back on, it burbles along like a Vespa..... Well, .....sort of... The Italian flag stickers,on the frame....other than that...
It rolled over 15K miles out last night with the Houston Ducati Chapter, based upon the needed Belt Service: $3200, OBO. Come on, school has started and baby need new shoes!!! All keys, code card, records and so forth are here. Somebody take this thing so I can ride the other one! Thanks
$2995?? This has been frustrating..as if only the first buyer had been patient on the Texas title.....It's HERE now, and yet no takers? Where are my Houston peeps????
