    Too right.
They haven't gone for the £2K+ CF cup holder like the F12.....just as well cos I drink plenty of it.

Seriously though, what kind numbers are other people hearing for "expected" amount on options. 25% seems a lot on a £260k car, like you say.

I was told they are targeting an average £40k options per car spend across all models. Not ridiculous on an 812 or Lusso, but I would imagine many 488 and Portofino clients would aim to spend less.

    £350 OTR in UK.

The biggest joke is Apple Car Play which is basically free in a VW Golf and above is £2400. You wonder how these numbers are arrived at.

It must be quite fun dreaming up these very precise yet ridiculous figures. Looking at those prices I can see an easy £50k for my spec, more if in the family colour but thankfully I don't want the car until 2019 so any delivery delay through insufficient spend is not a worry.

25% means spending an extra what £65k Inc or ex VAT?

    25% is 66k Inc VAT.

Waiting for 2019 might result in options to splurge, like, the under bonnet CF which I didn't see in the current lists.

Despite earlier comment I have actually had options list since early summer.
My understanding is that Ferrari is looking for dealers to average Euros 52k on 2018 cars.
Having gone through various specs the one I have decided on certainly comes in at under £300k.
When delivery dates become clearer I may have to add a few things if I really want car next year but if it is not possible to get it in Q2 I don't see much point.

Google says SBL = Static Light Bending Function - also available on GTC4 Lusso so its probably the modern version of lights looking around corners that Citroens had fifty or sixty years ago

Nice! Thanks. And is it the case that if you order the suspension lifter (ELEV) then you need the adaptive lights (AFS2) as well? Sorry for the dumb questions, but even the dealer doesn't know.

That’s odd your dealer does not know this Barry, even the standard configurator tells you this when you add the lifter, its so you don't dazzel people when the car is lifting.

So in order to get rid of the nasty plastic diffuser and other plastic interior/exterior trim etc with carbon fibre and have a sensible quality finished car, my notional 812 would require around £64,000 of spec.
Parr for the course I suppose.

Resurrecting an old but very interesting thread... what are views on which options you get all or some money back on?

The carbon all looks nice but it's easy to rack up 25k on basic carbon bits (bridge, air vents, front grill, rear side clusters, sills). I might only keep the car for a year or so. Assuming due to demand the car roughly holds it price, is consensus that these options would also maintain their premium? Any must have options? I.e. thinks that make it difficult to sell if you leave off? E.g. front lift, parking or passenger display

I assume premium paint colours don't really add much on resale as I can't distinguish which ones are premium going in...

Appreciate this is an art not a science but any views appreciated

Personal opinion but the only must have options are lift, sensors, carbon wheel and if you don't get the carbon seats the full electric seats. So many of the others can easily be added after delivery if the new owner wants them but these ones are tricky.

CF wheel can also be added afterwards. If you get the CF seats you MUST get the lifter!!

Premium sound system is well worth the dollars if you like music as the std one is pure rubbish
