    1st: 1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial Scaglietti Spyder, Thomas R. Peck, Irvine, California

    2nd: 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa Scaglietti Spyder, Chris & Ann Cox, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

    3rd: 1953 Ferrari 250 MM Pinin Farina Coupe, Brian Ross, Cortland, Ohio

    It was a good class overall.

    Thank you, I looked over the Peck car carefully and could not see anything wrong. The subtle differences from mine were backed up by good early photos. Bob Smith did a very nice job.

    At which race 0580/MD had a single windscreen like the one shown at Pebble Beach with this paint scheme (red over black) ??

    All the pics I have in red/black colours show large windscreen.

    The red/black Mondial paint had a deliberate orange peel, the kind that the PB lawn has not seen for a very long time. I wonder what the judges thought about that and if it appealed to them.

    John - our Mondial had orange peel and other imperfections when we won the M-2 Class as well as the Enzo Ferrari Trophy back in 2008. Our rubric was to replicate, as closely as possible, the painting methodology the Factory used on the comp cars in the mid-fifties; one shot, not wet-sanded, compounded, etc. and sent out to race.
