I've just placed my 1963 TR4 for auction on Bring a Trailer. here's the link if interested: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1963-triumph-tr4-8/ - auction runs for one week (ends next Wednesday) This 1963 Triumph TR4 was purchased out of Washington State as a project in Jan.2002 and refurbished over the following 9 years. The car was a good opportunity to start with a dismantled project that showed no sign of accident damage and relatively little rust. Car was subject to a body off, bare-metal repaint in deep red after receiving new RH & LH rocker panels and floors, and lower trunk panel. The frame was stripped, painted, and the entire suspension rebuilt. This TR4 is offered with a clear British Columbia title. Power comes from a later TR4 inline-four rebuilt with new pistons, new water pump, new timing chain and gears and converted to unleaded head with valve stems and hardened seats. The interior has been completely refurbished, with new carpets, recovered seats completed using red leather and new foam, recovered visors, new teak dash, new Moto-Lita wheel & adaptor, new dash top, and new grab bar, and complete new wiring harness. The car was completed in early 2011, and first shown at a non-judged Victoria car meet and shortly afterwards entered in the Triumph class at 2011 All British Field Meet held in the VanDusen Botanical Garden where it won 1st in class and special mention in debuting restorations. Circumstances have resulted in it having been used sparingly since. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Beautiful ride! Tempted but not quite the right timing for me. Too bad, because the car would only have to move a few blocks away from you! LOL.... Definitely my favourite amongst the TR's... Cheers, FN

no, it went RNM @ $21,111. Currently discussing with a number of contacts from the auction though... Reserve was $27K if anyone here is interested at that price. interested parties can email me at [email protected]
#2 ON Hagarty #2 is right at 27,000, however non original motor will discount that to some purist. Beautiful car but that is why I think it fell short Two appraisers in Seattle that are very well respected said non number matching can be up to 25% off and it seems that is about where your bids ended. Would you be willing to look at offer or are you set on 27 Thx Sal
I know that "matching numbers" is a big deal to Ferrari & Corvette guys, but I doubt very much that it has much impact on TR4 prices - LOL A couple of weeks back BaT had one of these with registration and lien issues that was still bid to $20K I firmly believe the car should have pulled $30K, so $27K is still the number. I think the bidding had more to do with the possible hassle of importing the car to the U.S., so I may just deal with that myself then repost it on BaT cheers
