In a time when more and more designs become indistinguishable between makes, the classic 3 boxing shape becomes more attractive and thus desirable, and when maintained in the condition you have upheld, simply a joy. Wow. Beautiful 412. I shook my piggy bank and could not get more than 25usd. Sons offered college funds but wife nixed.


Truly a bargain for this incredible example of a under appreciated model. If this were in its other skin minus two seats, it would be triple.

I have a 88 412 with 20K original miles , in Blue Chiaro, I would like to see you get 120K , I think your car is worth every
penny. A few have traded for near that price last year, having Ferrari Classiche may boost the value, cost is not prohibitive.

I whole heartedly agree that a CA BAR sticker definitely adds a premium to both autos and 5 speeds.

Personally, the BAR sticker and 5 speed were huge drivers for me when I purchased my 86 412 (also 5 speed) with CA BAR sticker about 4 years ago. Your car is a unicorn and looks to be in great shape... should command big $$.

Just when I thought I'd finally decided on a colour to repaint my 400i, I chance across this thread. What a beauty. Best of luck with the sale - it derserves far more than the suggested asking price.

 

One huge selling point is that it also have four seats. Usually that makes a car less «sportscar» and its two seater equivalents are more expencive. This car can carry kids, a family etc. Friends you suddenly meet, your mother in law.... this is something that can change the perception from a «ego car» to something that can be used for trips for several people together. It is a great great thing!!! The car looks amazing. Very classy! Good luck.

 

Good luck! There is a right buyer for this car, you just have to find him. I honestly would buy this car if I had a three car garage and the extra scratch laying around. It's halo car rare!

I saw it at nice car. High bid around $48,000 none of the Ferrari cars did well in this sale. The 400i Blk/ Red car sold for $40k hammer.

I watched the car cross the block online and the car did not sell but the auction company said that it was going to call the owner. I think only the owner knows what the car actually sold for. He may have accepted the high bid or may have received a better offer with the auction company negotiating between the buyer and seller.
