Anyone come across a source for an inexpensive cover for the 308 ?

Just looking for something very basic to serve as an indoor garage, keep-the-dust-off, cover --- does not have to have a great fit...... only good enough to fully cover and stay put on the car.

    Thanks

I bought one from the auto parts store that was about $30 or $40. It's sort of a light blue and visually unimpressive, but works very well to keep elements and sand/dust off the car when we take it to the beach for the weekend.

Two king size bed sheets should do it

I just did this last weekend. 200 threadcount (cheapest) from Walmart. 14.99 each sewed end to end. Perfect.

I have one of those expensive red satin fitted covers but it seems like it actually makes it dirty using it. I am sure it's just whatever is getting on it from the garage. I am afraid to wash it or have it cleaned because I'm afraid I am going to ruin it. but the sheet thing was simple cheap and easy. Just throw it in the wash once a month or so.

I’ve thrown my ‘expensive’ red satin cover in the wash multiple times..
lt needs cleaning as the dust builds up
on it and it tends to seep through onto the car..

Yep. Mine got to the point that my car stayed cleaner with it off.

I'm throwing in the wash if you say it wont kill it.

Cheapo $30 car cover will scratch your paint...200 thread count cotton is a much better way to go

Agreed, for your purpose David a good quality bed sheet would be all you'd need.
I find the fitted ones can scratch the car unless it's 100% clean.

A fitted car cover will keep the mice out of the exhaust though. Ask me how I know!

I’m sorry-I just realized how badly this fits here, as you were wanting a cheap option.....

I put copper chore boy kitchen pot scrubbers in the tailpipes to keep mice out.

I use a Touchless Car Cover.. It is cramped in my garage so it mainly goes on over winter, when I’m in and out less passing by my car. I may try the bedsheet. Could probably use a twin on the Abarth, lol.
With the TCC you can set up a string and pulley and drive in and out either end by rocking it to or fro, without having to break it down. You have zippered side acces for either door, and the front and back can be lifted and hooked in place to access the hood or trunk (or driving in/out).
