1979 Porsche 930 Turbo. This is a bone stock 930 with 54,454 original miles with service history, manual, warranty & maintenance book with dealer stamps. Sold new 11/29/78 at Felton Porsche Audi in Mill Valley CA. Metallic black, sport seats, black headliner, sunroof, a/c, original alarm, some original tools. Early model with snorkel headlight washers, built November 1978. Brand new Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo Rs. Everything original, even the radio and it works, electric antenna as well. Partial respray in original metallic black done during prior ownership. Runs very strong. Shifts beautifully. Recent engine out service to fix oil leaks, still needs one addressed, passenger side timing chain cover, received estimate of $1200 to do both sides. A/C compressor works but will need recharge. Prior to my purchase in late 2015, the car appeared to have sat for a long time, interior was really dried out, typical dash warping near windshield, steering wheel leather coming apart at seam. It just looked neglected. The previous owner had passed away and I think the car sat for a period of time. After I purchased, I had IPB Autosport go through the car and make it road worthy. Appraised in December 2015 at $110K. Can share appraisal. Currently registered, original blue plates, smog test was exceptionally clean and passed visual with original thermal reactors in place. $90K firm. Mike 916.337.7912

Thanks Topcarbon and Slownrusty, I think it is priced well but time will tell. It has been in Northern California since new, Stockton/Lodi area from new until 2015, then just an hour north to Sacramento during my ownership.

Awesome car. I had a euro 82 and you could adjust the boost by a knob between the seats. G.L.W.S.

Having timing cover seals done, another engine out so price will go up accordingly. Not sure when this will sell. Market appears to be rebounding, might take some time selling this one and enjoy it.

May also consider part trade/cash. Would have to be another P-car, preferably 67-69 912 or possibly a 911T.

Why isn't this car sold? I'm not a P-car guy, but $90K seems like a bargain!! GLWS!!!

Thanks, I actually had to increase to $92K after the recent engine out service to address the timing chain cover seals and perform the leak down. Adding many more pictures today, might capture some more interest once folks see the original interior. Admittedly I am starting to think I should wait another year to market this one.

Treated the leather again and coming back very nicely. Every surface is original. Passenger sport seat is in excellent condition, very minor wear on bolster. Driver seat has very little wear on the bolster as well but somehow previous owner managed to break open the bead exposing the twisting cord material beneath. I left the cord intact, choosing to keep everything original and let next owner address as desired. The cardboard-like strips that run beneath the upper back seats are coming out. I reduced the file sizes but have the much larger originals saved as well.

Dashboard has typical warping but is the original pad. I don't know if this can be corrected, I believe replacement would be necessary. Steering wheel cover stitching has come undone. Again I chose to keep original and let next owner address, this would need to be recovered, I am told it cannot be re-stitched. Speedo show current, correct mileage as of yesterday, July 5. Clock still works and keeps accurate time. Radio is original and still works as does electric antenna. Clifford alarm current bypassed but does work.

Ad says car is currently registered, but tag on plate seems to say 2015...? Does it pass CA smog? Can you post picture of print-out of last smog test?

Engine bay photos during recent engine out. I did have the firewall pad replaced as part of this service. Note photo with red circle. I had the mechanic inspect and he and others believe this damaged area was caused by the engine lid dropping suddenly with full weight onto the a/c compressor that would have been pulled and sitting higher up during service. The engine lid struts were originals and had no support left so likely a rod was placed and slipped. I replaced front and rear struts when I bought the car.

I will work on more exterior shots this weekend. This is a highly original car but definitely driver level. I believe I have addressed all oil leaks now. It is a pleasure to drive, very solid. I have not recharged the a/c but compressor does work. All lights work, turn signals, door lights, etc. Also a big plus, this car still has the thermal reactors and original exhaust and passed CA smog with flying colors, extremely low, clean readings. Original blue plates. I also have nearly every registration card starting with first one. This car was purchased new by two real estate developers in Lodi. It was first registered under the company name, Lloyd Development November 29, 1978. It would later be registered under one of the two partners, Dennis Lloyd. The tool kit is incomplete, I will take a photo this weekend. It also comes with a bra, does anyone use those anymore? Spare tire is original. Trunk carpet is original and has some tears/holes near the battery.

I will also consider part trade/part cash for a 912 (1965-1969) or 911T. Maybe a 911SC or late 80s Carrera if original condition.
