I've had about enough of the poor battery tender connection design that continually falls off with the car cover installed.

Temporary solution - cut a slit in the car cover at the location of the connection.

Permanent solution - have a flap sewn over the slit (I'm sure black spandex would look fine).

The photo is merely the temporary solution.

Good solution but even better don't put the cover on :).
Ive been waiting so long for my car I totally renovated the garage and changed the roller doors to glass doors so as to have a totally sealed garage. Plus I want to see her all the time

I would remove the cover. I don't like the thought that you could get a spark there with the cover so near. One other idea would be to just not cover the rear.

I think it is a good idea. Would be tempted to use a snap in plastic ring to keep the cover from ripping further and make it look nice. The covers are insanely priced, but I need one due to the high amount of dust in our area.

Just get the hole edges sewn over like a button hole
Looks neat and you get to keep the rear end covered. It protects mine from the dog drool of my English Mastiiffs

After reading this, I went out and looked at my 488. I have not been using the cover but the plug keeps getting knocked off by people (wife!) walking by the rear of the vehicle. It looks like both our problems would go away if the direction the wire exited could be changed by 90 degrees. This could be done either by rotating the socket in the vehicle by 90 degrees, or by rotating the pins on the plug by 90 degrees. Maybe some clever forum member will figure out the best way to do this and share it.

The plug Ferrari uses is the MagCode PowerSystem (non locking) setup. If you have access behind the panel, it appears it's a simple matter of rotating the base 90 degrees.

I'm thinking about buying a spare to wire up to the Lithium Ion charger for my Braille battery in the car.

    Here are a couple videos:
