You won't see a significant correction in the property market, normal cycle will continue. Next boom in 7 years. Popoulation continues to grow at a rapid rate, think the last figure I saw was 300k migrants per year. They have to live somewhere
Maybe at the moment but the 360 is not a blue chip car Serge.....Neither is the Stradale yet and the prices of CS cars are starting to head south in the U.K. On prices achieved and not stupid asking prices.......They will all head south at a rate of knots when money dries up and people have to sell........I don't mind this happening as I still have 2 empty car spots.......maybe a 246 and a 330 GTC.......
The problem with that is China is built on a Ponzi scheme with major cracks already starting to form.....If they go down we are well and truly ****ed.....The dollar and the property market has already started coming off.......
not a blue chip car - same was said about 246 and 355 and countless others, and here we are. As for the wider price correction - economy goes in cycles, main thing is hold on to your assets and (if you're lucky enough) buy more when **** hits the fan.
Cheers levendi. I didn't realize there are 300K migrants moving here each year. Oh well, this country can keep on ****ing itself. When I retire, I am going to pack up and move to Greece and live off the land.
246 and 355 aren't blue chip.....F40s, 250 Lussos GTOs etc are the cars I think will be recession proof.....Agreed the key is to try and hold on to the next cycle and take the opportunities in between.......
Nice Idea Pap I’ll be next door in France in my BnB Chateau Hopefully with a dusty old 360 in the barn and a large wine collection (and my wife) Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
My mistake Migrants about 245,000, net increase in population 388,100 https://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/immigration/migration-surges-pushes-population-to-246-million/news-story/5894c42437a3d990c1e3f832ede6f19e https://www.reuters.com/article/us-australia-economy-population/australias-population-growth-outpaces-world-as-migrants-rush-in-idUSKBN1E80HT Major cities will continue to show strong growth in property prices with minor dips, it's not rocket science
Sounds like a plan, you guys can come past each month when I slaughter the goat and we can have a BBQ.
I share your desire for a 246 and a 330 GTC although I have no space in my garage and I have a healthy Sydney mortgage that will curtail my dreams for a few years Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
And let’s not forget there are 1000’s, probably 100,000’s of people that are mortgaged to the hilt. When interest rates rise at some stage there’ll be trouble!!
This car is a beautiful and faithful reproduction on a correct 2500 chassis and supercharged engine. All reburbished. The body was built the old fashioned way (wooden buck and english wheel in aluminium) by Historic & Vintage Restorations in Blackburn Melbourne for a Melbourne Cardiologist and car collector. The Alfa second car referred to in a post is in Melbourne in a private collection and is faithfully based on the 1940 Libyan GP racer. Alfa Romeo fielded two cars in that race. Neither survived the war - that we know of. Interestingly, both cars had a new and novel electric fuel injection system. At the outbreak of Italy's involvement in the WW2, the secret of a high performance electric injection engine was spirited away by the Italian government. The working drawings were found post-war and this other Alfa car has an electric injection system built from the re-discovered plans. A massive achievement! It never goes out or is shown but is maintained by an old Alfa guy. A real gem about 5 kms from where I live. It is part of a large private collection that I was lucky enough to see about 10 years ago. The Devaux car is magnificent. Godspeed to David Clash and his vision. I just wish he managed to sell a few more of these breathtaking cars.
A big driver of a a subdued property market imo is the fact that finance is now much harder to come by Regulatory pressures have meant banks have tightened up serviceability which means a lot of people can't borrow what they used to and it's therefore much much harder spending as much on a property
This is pretty ambitious https://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Ferrari-512tr-1995/OAG-AD-16126609/?Cr=0 512 TR, asking 549K. BTW the vin in the ad is incorrect ( intentionally misleading ), its #99593 Was for sale at Barbagallo's in August 2016, asking 649K.
We judged that car at the WA rally concorso in 2016, it is stunning. Best TR series car I've ever seen. Probably too perfect to actually drive, but beautiful all the same.
