Thank you for clarifying it's rarity.

    So, what are the odds?

I am at the local Bike Sale or Trade shop (trying to sell my Ducati ST3 with no luck), and some guy tripping on Memory Lane walks in and asks for THIS exact bike!!!
I think he wanted one year earlier/later.....

In any case, all I could do (not being a power iPhone user) was bring up the picture to show him.
I tried to tell him how to join us here.

My post will top up your thread!!
I hope he finds us...the shop owner said "not only was it rare, they were all "used heavily" in the day"!!!

He also mentioned an interesting note, that US Tariffs at the time kicked in heavily above 750cc
Hence the proliferation of the smaller displacements in the Japanese lines.
This guy knew his stuff, but very respectfully declined to tangle with my Ducati!!
"We have to offer a warranty, that's like an exotic car, what you have there!"

    :/

Also, per this dealer your price point is definitely a reasonable ask....."good deal" even, as posted above!!
Sorry to hear about the boat!!

Missed a sweet 35' Cigarette because well......now was not the time.

I had an 87 fz700 they are great bikes designed for handling they are very narrow but we’re quick also for the time mine did 0-60 in 3.3 which wasn’t bad back in the 80’s. Thanks for bringing back some memories and glws!

What a lovely bike! Definitely worthy of preserving. At the risk of prying, may I ask what kind of boat you’re working on? Just about to move to my house in Maine from AL, and gotta sell the SeaRay 340DA for a fishing vessel.
