I am offered a GTCLusso with a panoramic glass roof. I am in the Philippines and its sunny here all year round with an average temperature of 32 celsius.

Dealer says its a special glass that wont allow heat to come in. The roof has no blinds.

I never open the blinds of the sunroof of my other cars because of heat, is it true that the Lusso's panoramic roof is so hi-tech it wont let the heat in?????

My previous FF had this roof and no “heat” issues. Not as warm as the Philippines but summers get quite warm. Perhaps because the roof is fixed (not a sliding sunroof) it is different
    Good luck

It’s quite a wonderful addition to the Lusso luxury experience, particularly for the passengers.

It's really mostly for the back seat passengers....as the driver you need to literally look straight up the experience it.....even the front passenger would have to make it a point to look up to know there is a glass roof.....

True, probably best the driver concentrates on the road...
Though I think all occupants benefit from a lighter interior ambiance.
    Personal taste of course.

At first I was wondering why I needed a $20,000 roof but after having it now (not on my previous FF) I probably could not go back to having a Lusso without one.

Panoramic Roof is a must and there at no heat issues.

I guess I’m the exception. As I rarely drive with passengers, I find the roof superfluous and the sun hitting my head at certain angle to be an irritant. Of course it adds heat inside! It’s simple math, or physics, or some sort of science, lol. The air works better as that big center vent shoots double the air out quickly.

From what I have read, this pano roof is like a giant transitional lens and changes darkness based on lighting. That, plus being double paned, makes the price much higher. One forum member mentioned in one post that whoever feels this car's pano doesn't get hot and uncomfortable has never lived in Arizona.

Correct. My Pano roofs turned my cars into ovens. The 612 OTO was unbearable while the FF was slightly less miserable. Didn’t want to risk a piano roof in AZ a third time.

It's physics right? It's impossible to have light transfer without some heat. As a Texan these roofs always seemed a bad idea to me. Better a sunroof with a closeable shade.

I live in Miami and the pano is fine, different than the FF I believe. Get the heat insulated windscreen it helps.

If its ever a problem in the UK I might have to concede there is something in this climate change mularky !

Maybe that's why my delivery has slipped to to October? It's Miami on Thames out there today.
