2018 - FCA Bagels and Ferraris

Is anyone going to the Roosevelt Field thing? I signed up and plan on going the weather looks great for tomorrow.

ok, does anyone know where the store is located at the mall? North, South, East, or West side. looked at a map but a guess Google is not up to date because NM des not show up. just thought I would try to pin point a location in the mall so I don't have to do laps to find the correct spot. I guess I will look for all the other Ferraris. hahaha

 

Nieman is on the west side of the mall (towards the southern corner). It rained here in Great Neck but now looks like it might clear up.

 

Looks like just a passing shower. That should be the end of it.

sorry none of us had a camera, I guess we F up, well on the other hand Vettel won.

 

I meant to take some pictures but got a little woozy after I saw sneakers inside for $850. Fur lined but...nice turnout and some nice cars from brand P too

 

Interesting ride home. My slow down light came on. When I reached home had flames coming from left tailpipe. Hosed down before any fire damage. Now car won't move forward or reverse. Feels like rear wheel locked. Going to be calling universal. Of course it's blocking my other car in garage.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your car's issue. I hope you get it fixed relatively painlessly. Was it really from the tailpipe or did the brake lock?

 

Guys please register for this event on June 28th. I would love to have a huge Ferrari turnout for this. We will have our own area to park and our own lounge

Thanks Hal. Flames came out left pipe of exhaust. Car tries to move forward but stalls. Have had issues with parking brake previously and am hoping it's locking a wheel. Anything to do with gearbox and I'm afraid I'm going to have to find a more affordable hobby like herding Yugos.

 

I registered for the Autobahn Nite in Oyster Bay.

Kevin, I'm happy that you've retained your sense of humor. [When Road & Track or Car & Driver first reviewed the Lamborghini Countach back in the day, they reviewed the Yugo in the same issue. Many readers noted that the optional rear spoiler on the Countach ($3000) cost $5 more than the complete Yugo.]

 

Love this car too much to ever lose my sense of humor over her. My credit rating however...

 

Kevin, the infamous "Slow Down" light is tied to the exhaust system. Usually... or at least when the light is functioning correctly, it often indicates that your catalytic converter is overheating! Or there is a major exhaust leak somewhere in the plumbing. That could certainly explain why you were seeing flames coming from the pipe! It may be the cat is now toast. On my car, I ended up changing out the cat and got a HyperFlow a few years ago. However, I can't figure out why that would have any effect on the car not being able to move. Regardless, I'm hoping it all gets sorted out quickly for you. Good luck!

 

Thanks Dave car isn't universal they couldn't get it on lift Friday but suspect heat from cat melted something and set parking brake. She's in good hands up there. Once it rolls they can get at the cat problem. Had a major done on her a few months ago and been gunning fantastic (even has a/c) and now this..

 

Just purchased a 550 and need to register in NH. Must have a front plate secured on front to register with DMV. Does the Cambrino e.g. crate bracket work on the 550?? I welcome any suggestions on a good bracket to secure a plate on the front of the car.

 

Guys B&F postponed this week. Next week is the FCA luncheon in Mattituck so many of us won’t be around then either. Let’s resume on July 1.
