We have 100% glass coverage no deductible as rock chips and cracks are very common in Colorado. Gravel on the roads for snow and ice but you can run into it all year. To get that 100% glass the highest deductible you can have is $1,000.

Keeper for me would be a car I would enjoy driving alot...probably a Speciale or a Scuderia.

Nice choices! I always thought the SLR is seriously undervalued but lots of people seem to disagree/not care about them. I love them, but a little scared of the maintenance. Is your 575 a manual?

It is not, the SLR maintenance is not cheap that is for sure, the 575 on the otherhand is, the SLR its $7500-10k/year so far for me. I dont know I paid $188k for mine, I think I could probably get $30-40k more than I paid if I sold it now. The cars from that era like the enzo have risen to 5x original msrp and carrera gt doubled its original msrp, the SLR is trading for 50% of its original MSRP, I think mines was $455k. In all honesty the 575 is a better car in every way, but the SLR is just a rare, special car. I don't know if the market will ever grow to appreciate it bc the bucket seats are awful, the ride quality is horrendous, and its overall nowhere near the car the 575 is imo but its still one of the rarest benzes ever made. It also shares the same 5.5L v8 thats in a $20k now SL55. Those are all the negatives. I think $250k is still fairly cheap for what it is.

Bought my first Ferrari in 1986..... a beat 308 GT4. Have had 9 others since, including 3 vintage V12 models and a host of 308's as well as a 348. My current is my last. It ticks all the boxes, is totally reliable and is thrilling to drive. And I am not working on it all the time. 1999 Modena six speed.

My '77 308,can't think of any good reason to sell it.

Would like to add a 430 Scuderia before they start to really appreciate in value again,16M is epic but at the moment is out of my league, and will likely stay there.

Otherwise have a hankering after a 550 Maranello ,to scratch the V12 itch for the first time ,which have 'aged' quite nicely.

Distant future is a tough one to quantify though!

Really any Ferrari should be a keeper long term. Hell look at all these 1960's chevy's trading for insane values and they were all made in bigger quantities than any Ferrari ever. You ever see how Mercedes 190SL were produced? Almost 26,000 of them were made and they're selling for $100k+ today. Even a "mass produced" Ferrari like the 458 I believe only 20,000 were made, obviously way more than older cars but still fairly rare in the scope of things. Same with other classics like the Jaguar E type, go see how many of those were made. Im not sure which Ferrari was the most produced ever, I'd imagine either the 458,488 or California but Im sure all were made in lesser numbers than a Jaguar E Type or Mercedes 190SL

The Tailor Made 488 Pista & 812 SF, because of the cars and the experience of traveling to Maranello to design them at the factory. I think this decade of Ferraris will be viewed very favorably by history: the design, tech, quality, reliability, old-school ICE power, & even practicality.

At least among the more recent Ferraris, I've noticed that only mid engine V8's such as the 458 have retained good value. The 488 is still too new but it will probably be the go to Ferrari in the next few years where I'm form.

Front engine V12's values have dropped a lot but its mainlydue to their very high brand new cost. While the California and FF seems to suffer the most as there are few takers despite very low resale prices.

I have a 97 D90 that we love and aren't planning on selling. Only two nights ago we talked about which of our neices or nephews would end up with the car when we pass - hopefully not for another 50 years or so!

I am hoping in the next 3 years or so to be getting a 355 GTS with three pedals. That has always been the 'it' car for me and while my buddies tell me the maintenance is ridiculous, I hope to get it and not care about putting the miles on it!

I figure that there's a chance that this may either be a bucket-list, check-that-box lifetime car. Or a car to last the rest of my life!

Interesting to me, as my 360 sunroof/stick car is my keeper V8 and I'm already planning to sell my 308. Why? Just can't go that far back and be satisfied with the performance and characteristics of a car. I want two keeper Ferraris though, as I loved my 456M GTa, except for the transmission. So, looking for a 612 or an FF. Paddles might just be better for a touring car, but a 612 manual would be a hoot. I wish the 308 market would catch fire again so I could move the car, honestly.

If we are talking all cars my 67 437/435 corvette with factory sidepipes is a car I hope to never sell it was my dream car as a kid and I have owned it for over 20 years .. I also think the Ferrari 550 is way under appreciated .. truly beautiful styling in a drivable package . When I drive mine it feels like OLD school compared to my F12 or other later model Ferrari....
I also really like my 1997 VIPER GTS I plan to keep this car also mainly because it is really dramatic looking for its day and driving it is still like driving a 60s hot rod two much torque and no nannies anyone that has owned one of these has ended up sideways or maybe in someone's front yard .. lots of torque....

George I’ve moved on from my wonderful 456mA to a FF make the move truly a magnificent beast, on your other point
I’m on my way to Hawaii to shot Magnum PI for CBS, so with the exposure I’m sure your 308 market value will start to
    increase.

You have a nice garage. Yeah, torque is where it's it in a street car.

I plan on keeping my current car. It’s a 360 Spider, three pedal car. Miles are relatively low and it has no issues. Rosso corsa, Black top, tan interior. Not so rare, but a pleasure to drive.

Hard to say for sure. If you asked me when I purchased my first corvette 28 yrs ago, I would have said I'm keeping it forever. But I didn't. Right now, I say I'm holding on to my 355 spider for the looks and the "old school" Ferrari feel. We will let time be the judge of that however.....;)
