I met Dario Benuzzi on Monday morning: what a legend, he is a real tough one. What an Honor to talk with him. He is still active at Ferrari (still testing and developing new models) and had a part in 458 Pista final settings too.

He was also the Formula 1 test driver from 1988 to 1993, until Formula 1 pilot Nicola Larini stepped in as F1 test driver

He told me many things, but I just want to write this incredible one: "Driving a Formula 1 car is as easy as driving a bicycle!"

John J. Rambo is nothing if compared to this guy! :D

    ciao

Alberto. Looks wonderful. Will be a customer for the book. Can I make a polite suggestion: Have someone who has English as their first language proof-read the English language version. There are so many books that are translated into English and you just know that no native English speaking individual was involved in that process. Rgds. Casino Sq

Dario Benuzzi told me something we all didn't know about the latest 328 and "328" turbo models, I mean the 1988 - 1989 models. He basically said that he liked more the previous model year and explained me why

The book in Italian is completed. I'm waiting for the editor response.

I added a Dario Benuzzi interview and (incredible as he doesn't allow interview) an interview with Giuliano Michelotto, that had a big role in the 288 GTO (especially in the 288 GTO Evoluzione) and F40 development plus all the racing variants of the F40

The Giuliano Michelotto interview is (in my opinion) the best part of the book

The Italian version is for sale since two months: I'm very happy for the appreciation that this book has received. The firts stage of the English translation is now completed and it's being revised just now (thanks, Karen!). It will be three a stage translation and at present only the first stage have been completed: I don't know when the English version will be published, but (finally) now we are talking of months and no more of years.

    ciao

I received my copy yesterday, thank you Alberto! (actually, it arrived the week before, but the Post office guys forgot to notify me, so the parcel was waiting for me at the Post office, and I was waiting for the parcel at home...).
I think it is a very valuable addition to the existing litterature about these cars; the book deals with the "Turbo" cars of course, which maybe are not well known outside Italy, but most chapters will be useful to anyone having some interest for the 1980s technologies; the interviews of those involved and having personal knowledge of the history are particularly valuable.
Alberto deserves a "well done" from any serious enthusiast for that book. I wish the book the success it deserves.

Thank you Bruno, and thank you all too. The book talks about the first "turbocharged" era at Ferrari, starting from the 208 turbo and ending with the F40, with some space given also to the first two turbocharged F1 cars, 126CK and 126 C2 (both driven by Gilles Villeneuve). It talks about the 308 too, as all the four Ferrari turbocharged GT cars of the eighties derive (who more, who less) from the 308, a masterpiece in Ferrari history: so a lot of space if given to the 308 models at the beginning of the book, that all the 308 enthusiast will like very much. There are a lot of amazing (never published before) news and anecdotes in the 288 GTO and F40 section too: they are included in the exclusive interviews to the ones that had a part in those cars design and construction.

The book is full color and contains almost 300 pictures, but it's also to be read as it tells the story of the turbocharged era at Ferrari and ends with a small 'interview' I did to Enzo Ferrari himself in 1987: he was the one that swept away the turbocharger from F1 racing, and he told me, in person, why .

There wasn't, up to now, a book that talked about all the four GT turbo cars in such a deep way.

    ciao
