I found out through a mutual friend today that our friend Paul Bianco (Paulie B) is laid up with kidney stones. Send some positive waves to our friend in Jupiter! Best wishes for a quick recovery. BHW
Having experienced both, I can tell you kidney stones are more painful than a heart attack! Get well today, Paulie!!
I spoke with Paulie yesterday. He's doing fine, laying low at home waiting for the stone(s) to pass. He had some really bad pain on Saturday and went to the hospital where he was diagnosed. Paulie sounded like his old self on the phone and we had a couple of laughs. He even managed to work "halfway" into the conversation. BHW
Then, just got a call from KevinFl this morning and he's reporting (wait for it..) kidney stones. Must be going around. Get better soon to brothers Kevin and Paulie. BHW
Hello everyone and thank you for the good wishes. Still fitting with the kidney stone. Some of you know how it feels. Ouch!!!!!!
Can't speak from personal experience about kidney stones but my mother had them (which she blamed on birthing my sister and me) but not sure if this was the case or not. She then had another experience with them in the early 80's which necessitated an overnight hospital stay. Can speak about heart attack however. It was not painful, just a weird dizzy, nauseous and body just racing type of feeling. Whatever I did, I couldn't sit still (if sitting had to be standing, if standing had to be walking, etc) until it became overwhelming and off to the clinic we went. The closest explanation of what I experienced was from Rosie O'Donnell who had a very similar experience. Anyway, watch after yourselves, someone's got to keep the Florida section going! BHW
Oof been there done that on all of the above. I could probably repave your driveway with all of the kidney stones I've popped out. Heart issues were like "ok I guess I'm ready to die.." Kidney stones more like "please kill me now." Definitely no fun but you do get a lot of good drugs
