I take it back! I found FP2 and am able to select any of the drivers' cars and listen to their radio. Here I have Mr. Smiley selected. Image Unavailable, Please Login I'm excited for the race. Picking the car to view the race from is cool. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hmm. Car cameras don't work if the car is in the garage... Also, when a driver's feed is selected, I'm not getting the driver's audio. I do get the engineer's audio, but not the driver's.
Cameras work in the garages, but I guess there is a way for the engineers to shut them off. Image Unavailable, Please Login I'm getting a small "buffering" pause every 10 seconds or so. It only lasts for a quarter second or so, but is noticeable. I have gigabit internet, and am using a very fast computer, so I don't think the issue is on my end.
Yeah, it's probably the feed and it being so new but I'm sure they'll work out the "bugs" in it. I have heard good feedback from the countries that are offering it (at the moment) and those that signed up. Can you change the camera angles or is that the only camera (above Halo) being offered at the moment???
I just realized that I may not be seeing all that will be offered... It says available on PC now.... So Apple devices may not have full functionality yet. Really... I guess I will have to fire up the work PC for the full access... Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
I take it back. The stream mostly did not work for me. At some point, companies are going to have to hire actual adults to run things. Cancelled. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The feed doesn't work They basically stole $12.00. What an absolute waste of money. I'm done with these guys
Got an email yesterday saying they were refunding all subscribers for the the Spanish race because of likely difficulties. I watched the race on replay and it kept stuttering or repeating segments losing sync each time. Pretty soon the sound was not sync’d with the video and they were talking about something that I would not see for another minute or two. Will look forward to them fixing this. I would imaging someone has already been fired... Robb
That's what I read on line, that there were huge problems with buffering and some viewers not getting all the weekend. If it works as planned, (switch to any driver's view and audio at will) then I would love it.
I watched the race on replay -- about three or four hours after the race ended. The replay worked great for me. The only time I saw any hiccups is when viewing a specific driver's video -- then there would be a slight pause every 10 seconds or so. The main feed was perfect. After one race I am very happy with F1 TV.
So one thing that I think sucks ass is I remember setting up my parameters on the site so that when I go to watch the race that there will be no spoilers... This is what I see on the replay race page on my iPad. So where can I verify the settings so I can enjoy the race the next time without knowing the results first? Any links? I've been enjoying F1 TV so far. I'm currently watching the 1998 Belgian Grand Prix in the archive section. I had to do a double-take at the 17 minute mark. Image Unavailable, Please Login Could that be Maurizio Arrivabene? (A quick Google search revealed that it is, indeed, Maurizio, hanging out in the Ferrari garage.) He had joined Philip Morris the year before, and I guess was there as a guest.
