    Seeking a 924 Carrera GTS or GTS Clubsport for my collection. I am a serious collector and am willing to pay a market price commensurate with the condition of the car. Will also pay a finders fee for leads that result in a purchase. Please PM me with any leads.

    Yes, he was given one by the factory as a driver’s car when he raced a 924 GTP at Le Mans for Porsche. While he asked for a 928, they gave him the 924 GTS and while he was not happy about it at first, he quickly grew to love the car and still owns it today.

    There’s a great YouTube video of Derek talking about getting his GTS. I had the pleasure of talking with him at Crescent classic about it. It’s the only sports car he has ever kept. He has said that he will never sell it. It’s his favorite sports car he has ever driven.

    I'll keep looking!

    I always hankered after a 924 Carrera GT but they were just always too unobtainable and are now big money.

    I settled for a white w/red graphics and wheels 968 CS with which I have been very happy.

    Yes it did. The car needs a lot of work, but was still well bought. Unfortunately I didn’t bid given the estimate range. They must have dropped reserve on the block.
