The customer who was going to send in his old unit just called me back and he wants one made for him. He wants GGGYR. His stated reason was that green means you're OK, yellow is the warning and red means up-shift now. I guess I can't argue with that setup either! So now two different setups to stock! What did I get myself into!!! But these kind of projects are what is really cool about being in the Ferrari world.

So we've sent our first batch to over to Ray Technics. Two units are 'used'. One came from a customer's 458 wheel we are currently customizing (12 o'clock stripe, suede grips, LEDs etc) and the second was a takeoff from an install here at the shop. I think the second will be going into Kirby's FF so we can take some photos. Normally we'd serialize each one and have a bit more sophisticated ordering system, but it was crazy busy on Friday and I ran out of time.

Probably next week we'll have them available. We've sold another GGGYR so we'll have two red/blues and one G/Y/R. Let me know if you'd like to reserve one.

My other car I had installed MoTec shift light that you could change the colour by computer. I found GGGGW to be the best as you could easily spot the white. I don't thinks anyone really looks as they light up. Its the last light that has the impact , hence why having them all red isn't that good. I like the idea GGGYW or GGGYR

I received these pics from Ray-Technics this morning. We'll have our first batch in stock on Tuesday.

Its been a bit of a busy day so I took just a quick swing at updating our LED listing to include the customization aspect.

This is for those customers looking to buy a new customized unit. We've not fully worked out an exchange program yet. PM me if you want to customize the LED but don't need a new screen or want to keep your old LED.

We now have the LEDs in stock. Kirby brought his FF to the shop today. We installed the RRRBB version.
We've made a video with a short demo. We'll have an install video in a few days. We banged this video out pretty quick. I just found a small typo that we'll fix tomorrow.

John it was great catching up and thanks for helping install the LED's. Seemed like a very quick and easy install and I'm sure you could have done it faster if we weren't chatting. I may not rev that high on my daily commutes, but it's nice to see at start up.

How do you get the glass off to access the screws? Does it just pop off or do you need to pull on it

If you have leds in your steeringwheel now, they can be repalced by another set of Macarbon easily by yourself.

the lights only come on after 6th gear correct. I just got my car, but i think only yesterday after i gave it gas and it reached 6rpm the light went on.

There's a threshold on rpm (not sure what it is on the 458) but it should work for all gears.
